I am big fan of punk music in it's many forms.
I was wondering how many other aspies like punk.
From stuff like Black Flag to Rancid. The Clash to The Sex Pistols and The Ramones.
The Germs and Fugazi.
All that stuff...and more of course.
Now if you listen to punk and like it post away...I'd love to hear band recommendations or opinions on if aspies have an affinity for
Punk Rock at least you.

Excellent choice on Rancid.
Gogol Bordello calls themselves 'gypsy punk' and I find it to be excellent music. They're kind of like an eastern European version of Flogging Molly.

Ska punk is fun too, especially when there's lots of horns. Bands like The Planet Smashers and The Aquabats

Edit: Just thought of another band from that's more just straight ska and from the `70's; The Extras. Unfortunately the only place it seems you can get anything from them is to order off of their website.

While not exactly "ska punk" go find some stuff by The Specials. The best of the "2nd wave" of ska. Horns and more horns. Also, Fishbone had a great horn section.

Just a few favorites of mine:
Stooges
Ramones
X. By far the most talented band to come out of the late 70's LA scene. All of their first four albums are outstanding.
Rollins era Black Flag. "Damaged" is a classic.
Minor Threat and then Fugazi (still the best live show I've seen...)
Dead Kennedys
Big Black (and then Rapeman). Proto-Industrial. This was truly mean sounding stuff back in 1987 or so.

English:
Buzzcocks (probably the beginning of "pop-punk", but man, they could write a catchy single...)
The Clash
SLF

Post-Punk, alt-rock and stuff that's hard to define. Many of these guys started out as punk acts and become something entirely different:
Mission of Burma
Minutemen
Meat Puppets
Husker Du
The Replacements
Slint (moving from 80's to 90's with this one - proto emo in some ways. Spiderland is still a favorite.)
Sebadoh

I could go on and on...

GG Allin (if you like the really punishing stuff).

Three Johns.

Bush Tetras.

Public Image Limited.

Flipper.

Joy Division.

Josef K.

(Gang of Four seconded)

The Jesus Lizard.

(Big Black seconded)

Cop Shoot Cop.

The Comsat Angels.

Christ On A Crutch.

(Slint seconded)

The Damned.

Also you could go with Psychobilly, a mish mash of Punk and Rockabilly (The Meteors recommended)

Really Red - Teaching You The Fear LP
Pere Ubu - 360 Degrees of Simulated Stereo (Live)LP
Dead Kennedys -Fresh Fruit LP (Orange cover, IRS Records)
Dead Kennedys - Frankenchrist LP (with the lawsuit poster by HR Giger)
The Necros -IQ32 7"
DOA - World War Three 7"
Les Black's Amazing Pink Holes LP
Minor Threat EP (1st Red Cover)
Germs (GI) What We Do is Secret LP
UXA Test Pressing LP (Tracks were Differant from released version)

Cottage Cheese From The Lips of Death (Texas Comp w/Butthole Surfers,Big Boys,Stickmen with Rayguns)

Also, had a complete collection of Maximum Rockandroll from the first issue in 1982 to 1986, and nearly all other issues from 1986 to 1991

BTW, to the guy that liked Rollins Era Black Flag, Chavo was still a better singer for the band.
