I have a ton of songs by Simple Plan that speak to me, but I think The Lucky One speaks to me the most. The song Skyscaper and Warrior, both by Demi Lovato speak to me as well. These songs are like my whole life in a song.

^ That one speaks to me the most out of all of their other songs they sing. I can't really explain it, but with my current level of disability... you can kind of understand why it hits me hard.

I have a number of music cassettes and CDs. My favorite is a CD of the "Henry V" tunes from the movie. I've never seen the movie, but would like to someday. My sister had both the cassette and the CD. She gave me the cassette. Several years later I told her I couldn't play it any more because I had worn it out. By that time her tastes had changed, so she wasn't really into it any more, and gave me her "Henry V" CD. :D I have loaded it onto my desktop PC, and sometimes play it while on the computer.

As for regular singing music, I don't have one favorite, but like a number of different tunes.

Basically all of the "Scarecrow Trilogy" of albums by Avantasia. Maybe I'm just projecting, but I suspect the protagonist of this trilogy of concept albums may be autistic. Here are some of the lyrics that really send a shiver down my spine.

"Can't you see, can't you see, that you are not like anyone? You'll never see through anyone else's eyes."

It's very rare that I'll read into lyrics in that way or that I'll find a protagonist that I can relate to, but Gave Up by Nine Inch Nails is the only one that comes to mind. After an abusive relationship and the subsequent years of avoiding relationships, most of the lyrics seem to fit well with what I went through and the mistakes I made in trying to get over it. It doesn't get me down that it reminds me of her, as to me it's about what I learned from the experience.

It's hard for me to explain, but the song feels like a timeless portrait of my inner spirit from every given angle.

Some music can bring up so much emotion in me that it's overwhelming, but I still listen to music more than I do anything else all day. I can't get enough of it. :)

I have many songs that speak to me. Here is one of them.
