Hello, everyone. Have I ever told you that I'm a big fan of the band Savage Garden? I know I haven't told you. I tried to get out of it, but I couldn't run away from their beautiful music. The first time I listen to Savage Garden was in high school, where I listened to "I Want You". I'm 25, and still I couldn't resist the beauty and voice of Darren Hayes.

So, any Savage Garden fans here? If so, what is your favorite SG song?

Thank you. I forgot they even existed and haven't heard them since high school. Crash and Burn. :)

I knew I couldn't get away from SG's sweet music. It's very sweet. By the way, I have a confession to make to you all. I have a on-again, off-again, yet on-again crush on the singer, Darren Hayes. Isn't it crazy? I have been crushing on him since high school. It seems I am an open SG fan! Any comments?

I really like Savage Garden music, and Darren Hayes' solo stuff (even more than SG).

Husband hates it when I play it in the car. I think he used to like some of SG's more popular songs that charted here in the UK, but I may have overplayed Darren Hayes a bit and ruined them for him.

I wouldn't know. I'm not even married and still in college.

I guess Savage Garden broke up when the whole boy band thing died out in the early single digit 2000's. The Spice Girls broke up, and then the many boy bands all either disappeared, or broke up. I guess that you still see Il Divo in concert on PBS (that opera-based boy band). And you see Justin Timberlake as an individual performer all over the large and small screen. But you dont see any of the other boy bands anymore.

The only song I'm familiar with by SG is "Truly, Madly, Deeply" which I would play when deejaying weddings. But I do like that song (both because it 'works' at weddings, and because I got to like it as a song after a while).

I know. It's sad. :(

Even though I'm an open SG fan, I just got over my on-again, off-again crush on Darren Hayes.

To The Moon And Back, and Carry On Dancing. BTW, here's an interesting cover:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5jH4IK5Ttc

Check that one out if you want a more rock sound. I also think it would be cool to have a cover of that song with tribal drums. I've never really been a fan of the drum machine. I love the melodies though :-)

I liked a lot of their music. But I think "To the moon and back" was my favourite.
