god is a woman is there now even though I hate that song

this is beautiful.
but I thought Gwynneth Paltrow was just a mediocre actress, and “huey Lewis” was a b grade singer, but the chemistry between them in this song is amazing.
I did not know she could sing at all, and I did not know heuy lewis had the harmonizing talent that he does. I love this song.

I had Lay Down by Melanie stuck in my head yesterday, it was on the radio and I hadn't heard it in a while. I really love the harmony in the verse.

I really liked that movie when I saw it on TV a while back.

Paul Giamatti does his own singing in it, too!

I always like when actors do their own singing in films, rather than stuff like Grease or Back to the Future where it is clearly someone else. I try to overlook La Bamba, because it's just such a great movie overall (and Los Lobos are pretty awesome), but then to compare it to films like The Buddy Holly Story or The Doors, where the actor had the looks and the voice (and La Bamba had neither).
