I'm a mild ELO fan, mainly the greatest hits. Turn to Stone is my favorite.

More important question is, who is "Bruce," and why is he bringing Jeff Lynne down?

One of the greatest British bands, and not just of their time.

The last minute or so of 'Mr Blue Sky' is, in my opinion, one of the best instrumentals ever to grace a song.

Defintely one my guilty pleasures! My older brothers listened to the in the 70s so I grew up with their albums. World Record is great album - the closing track Shangri-La is one of my faves (albeit a little on the sappy side).

Me me me!. I have their Zoom DVD and it is awesome! Jeff Lynne is a true musicial genius! My favourite song of theirs is probably "Alright" from Zoom but I don't think they've done any bad ones.

Jeff Lynne and Ron Wood were in a 60's psychedelic band called the Move and they had some really good songs too. Jeff Lynne also did a lot of work with George Harrison in the 80's and was then in the Travelling Wilburys.

That was ROY Wood not Ron Wood from the Stones.

I used to like ELO. I always wanted to go to one of their concerts. Unfortunately, I was a little too young to go.

Recently, on an episode of Doctor Who (Love and Monsters) their music was featured prominently. This prompted me to go out and buy a greatest hits cd. My favourite song Mr. Blue Skies. There is something magical and Beatlesque about that tune.

Jeez sounds like ZZ Top's 'Give Me All Your Loving' I hope this is not their finest hour, no offense, I will suspend my opinion until I hear their 'best of' album. Mr. Blue Sky held some promise.

ELO was one of my two favourite bands as a teen (the other was ABBA). My favourite songs were "Confusion", "Xanadu", "Midnight Blue", "Wild West Hero", "Ticket To The Moon" and "Jungle". My friend and I even made a jokey Super-8 "video" of "Mr. Blue Sky" while on summer holiday in the south of France.
