This is Iron Maiden, performing - phantom of the opera, with their original singer, live at the rainbow. Before you judge, just listen, you may be very suprised.

Great song! The riff reminds me of What She Said by The Smiths and Call Me by Blondie. It's probably the best Iron Maiden song I've heard, along with Where Eagles Dare

Yeah phantom of the opera IS great, I tend to play Piece Of Mind more than their other albums these days.
You get points for not going for the predictable choice of 'Run to the hills' or 'Number of the Beast' as your favourite maiden though.

The best song on the Number Of The Beast album is Hallowed Be thy Name in my opinion anyway.

for me when someone mentions "the best song ever" Holiday in Cambodia by the Dead Kennedys always seems to come to mind. thought it may not be everybody's favorite, it certainly is arguably one of the greatest songs ever written and recorded.

U2 is even better.
Funny.
Yeah, I still haven't stopped laughing since I read that statement. U2 are the most overated band in the world.
Which is why it's so sad that they're better.

Wait you're not actually saying u2 are better are ya? or hopefully your being sarcastic!
Frankly I've never listened to either one. Both of them seem to have sold out once they became popular.
