drums can be computer made
guitar and bass and of course keyboard sounds can be duplicated on keyboards
or play the instruments then mix them

I do this, I write my own music in a midi sequencer...

I don't even play it on a keyboard first... just edit in each note with a mouse keyboard.

I started with a shareware program... now I use Logic Express on a Mac.

The website I host my music on. I hope you don't mind me using this thread to plug my music... :P

I'm working on a new piece of music right now actually; it's great fun writing music. It's like building a puzzle, but you make each piece yourself.

Played drums and guitar during my late teens and early 20s without much success. Took singing classes before kind of dropping everything.

I make music with a freeware called Madtracker - it's not professional or anything and people have told me the exported audio quality is bad but it's ok for my level.

I really couldn't fit anymore in my schedule an hour or two a day practicing an instrument. . .
I'm far from being musically gifted anyway; I have overall creativity but technically I most likely suck.

I eventually came up with about 10 tracks averaging 3,5 minutes long. I can't really classify it; I think it's somewhat industrial and one guy said it sounded like Dark Dance whatever that means (not Trance. . . unfortunatedly). As of late, when I have the time, I try improving the earlier stuff or stuff I scrapped.

sure, you can do most of this on the computer nowadays. Lots of virtual instruments and rhythm tracks, a midi sequencer or general program (Sonar, Cakewalk, Mark of the Unicorn, etc), and you can do whatever you like .Still have to do the singing, though, but you can hire someone for that...;)

How many drummers does it take to change a light bulb?
None! they have machines to do that now...;)
