My Drugs Of Choice,

Is the music I enjoy, bringing me to new heights.
Is the morning dawn, as I watch my child smile with a yawn.
Is the spring flowers, bringing colors and scent to my life's eyes and nose.
Is the books I read, sparking my imagination unto new things.
Is the smiles and laughter I see and hear in my child's voice and eyes.
Is the passions I see in others, in and for the things that bring joy unto them.
Is the babbling brooks, that team with life and peaceful sounds,
Is the wind in my face and in the trees,
Is the sun shining upon my face.
Is the sound of a trains lonesome whistle in the distance,
Is the knowing I done good at something I put my mind and heart into,
Is the peace that I do see around me and in others,
Is the spring babes hatching out to a new life.
Is the new spring growth, the old giving way to new in life.
Is the fresh foods that tantalize my taste buds,
Is the knowing life is not forever, but to each their own.
Is in the morning dew and how it clings to spider webs and things.
Is in the knowing I do have a heart and a little patience.
Is in the knowing I have loved ones I can beleave in and trust,
Is In the birds and animals around me living and being free.
Is in the beaches and shores and the sand and the sea that I listen to and walk upon.
Is In the rare tender touch of another caring living soul.
Is in the knowing of who I am and that of believing in my self.
Is in the love and trust I see in my child's heart and eyes for and in me.

Can you add too this list?
A list of your own?

solitude!! (but not all the time)
grass under bare feet in the country when it's quiet, and warm
laying on my back and staring into a clear blue sky
designing something in my head and then making it real

Edit:

also, mimicking the birds' calls to 'talk' to them

I find this post idiotic.
First of all, a drug is an altering substance.
None of these qualify as substances.
Therefore, they aren't drugs.

I find your list to be Sappy, Sentimental B.S.
Maybe it's just me trying to block all emotion, as I sometimes do.
Still, this is just ridiculous.
Do you live in the real world?

Is Wellbutrin, increasing my dopamine and norepinepherine levels
Is caffeine, which I am addicted to, although I do like the taste of coffee
Is cannabis, which I would use more often if I had more money
Is nicotine, which comes in cigarettes, which I enjoy; but they're unhealthy, so I don't smoke much

I once met a straightedge kid who ordered a cup of coffee when we went to Waffle House.

Weed is my only drug and I stopped for the time being.

Nothing against it, just have better things to spend my money on right now. Gotta have your priorities.

Nitrous Oxide. Luckily for me the only time I get to use it is when I need serious work done on my teeth.
Float, float on...

my drug of choice? hmm

- any potato product (chips, fries, etc)
- Pepsi (2 to 3 cans a day)
- a good steak (only an occasional indulgence sadly)
- my girlfriend (we're apart for two months so right now i'm in withdrawl)

and okay, if you wanna be literal, Jack Daniels whiskey and the occasional joint.

Hydrocodone is very yummy (the best part of surgery recovery :)). Otherwise I like caffeine.

Alcohol and weed have little or no positive effect on my mood.
