Actually I thought Coda was pretty good. Love the songs "Darlene" and "Hey Hey What Can I Do". Same with Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark and No Prayer. I wouldn't rank them as the best among the artists but I do think they're still good.
But I agree Virtual XI was, well, something else.

As far as worst albums from great artists go, I'd say:

Judas Priest: Turbo (1986), Jugulator (1997), Demolition (2001)

Queen: Hot Space (1982)

The Who: It's Hard (1982)

Phil Collins' "No Jacket Reqired" should really be called "No Talent Required".

Whatever you think of Abacab, it's not nearly as bad as Calling All Stations. One listen of that and all of a sudden Phil Collins doesn't sound so bad.

Abacab went to #7 on the US charts and was the bands first platinum album, so I dont think it was a falure for them.
Coda is one of Led Zeppelins worst selling albums, but it is still pretty good and peaked at #6 on the US charts
Not sure about the other albums

Really? I like the first song which is a cover. Its their worst album I think. I prefer fear of the dark out of those 2. When you compare those albums to their best work, they do look very weak.

Lol, whats Judas Priest's best albums? I have hell bent for leather and british steel, they're both good. Is any of their earlier stuff good?

Guns 'n Roses-Chinese Democracy was a bit dissapointing, I mean there are a couple of good songs on there but not good enough.

I didn't care for the latest Iron Maiden album at all, come to think of it. I only listened to it once over and a bit but I don't even get the sort of amusement that I get out of the three "bad" Iron Maiden albums thus mentioned.

Their latest stuff takes a long time to get into, cause its so complex. I probably had to listen to the newest 3 albums about 15 times before I got into them.

Well I liked Brave New World quite a bit (my favourite since Seventh Son) and can see what you mean in that regard. Dance of Death was OK. I'll listen to the new one again sometime and see what I think.

Just meant that a lot of people must have thought Abacab was good and a lot of people must have thought Coda was bad.
Thats all

Every once in a while an album comes out that a lot of people thinks is great, and after some time goes by most are hardly willing to admit it. One example is the Genesis album Invisible Touch, which hasn't aged nearly as well as say Selling England by the Pound.
