"Someday" by Rob Thomas. I don't know if this song describes the AS experience per say but it's an optimistic way of looking at it.

You can go
You can start all over again
You can try to find a way to make another day go by
You can hide
Hold all your feelings inside
You can try to carry on when all you wanna do is cry

And maybe someday
We'll figure all this out
Try to put an end to all our doubt
Try to find a way to make things better now

And maybe someday
We'll live our lives out loud
We'll be better off somehow
Someday

Now wait
And you try to find another mistake
If you throw it all away
Then maybe you can change your mind

You can run
And when everything is over and done
You can shine a little light on everything around you
....

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet here; don't feel like going back all those pages but I can kind of relate to the Metallica song  Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

"Welcome to where time stands still
No one leaves and no one will
Moon is full, never seems to change
Just labeled mentally deranged
Dream the same thing every night
I see our freedom in my sight
No locked doors, no windows barred
No things to make my brain seem scarred

Sleep my friend and you will see
That dream is my reality
They keep me locked up in this cage
Can’t they see it’s why my brain says rage

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone

Build my fear of what’s out there
And cannot breath the open air
Whisper things into my brain
Assuring me that I’m insane
They think our heads are in their hands
But violence use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
He’s getting better, can’t you tell ?

No more can they keep us in
Listen, damn it, we will win
They see it right, they see it well
But they think this saves us from our hell

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Sanitarium, just leave me alone

Fear of living on
Natives getting restless now
Mutiny in the air
Got some death to do
Mirror stares back hard
Kill, it’s such a friendly word
Seems the only way
For reaching out again."

 I doubt most of us here have even been in a sanitarium(least I hope not) I never have & I think that this song means it literally but I'm thinking that sanitarium could perhaps be a metaphor for staying home, keeping to ourselves & avoiding the outside world aka introversion. Instead of this being about insanity it could be about others thinking that we are different. They do not accept us so we are separated from them/outside world. Others think that to be accepted & to deal with life we need to be like they are & we may start to think that about our ourselves after a while. We go on avoiding others & the outside word even thou we may be capable of handling it; others & us believe we cant.
Not sure if that makes sense :? It took me quite a while to type & word it but still feel it may not make much sense.

The One song is also relatable to me because it could be about having problems connecting to others & the outside world. feeling trapped inside yourself.

"Telephone" by Lady Gaga. It's got a lot of symbolism in it though and not all AS people could probably get it. The refrences to a party and dancing could be symbolism for special intrests, etc.

Cool view of it! I feel the same about "Sugar, We're Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy, especially the video (the boy's antlers and his preoccupation with the graveyard could symbolize AS).

I've been listening to this Paramore song for the past year, and while I gave someone else my interpretation, I've found out the lyrics have been touching my heart a little more since my emotional breakdown a few days ago. It's Playing God.

I can't make my own decisions or make any with precision
Well maybe you should tie me up so I don't go where you don't want me
You say that I've been changing
That I'm not just simply aging
Yeah how could that be logical
Just keep on cramming ideas down my throat

You don't have to believe me but the way the way I see it
Next time you point a finger I might have to bend it back or break it break it off
Next time you point a finger I'll point you to the mirror

If God's the game that you're playing well we must get more acquainted because it has to be so lonely to be the Only one who's holy
It's just my humble opinion but it's one that I believe in
You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you

You don't have to believe me but the way the way I see it
Next time you point a finger I might have to bend it back or break it break it off
Next time you point a finger I'll point you to the mirror

This is the last second chance
I'm half as good as it gets
I'm on both sides of the fence
Without a hint of regret I'll hold you to it

I know don't believe me but the way the way I see it
Next time you point a finger I might have to bend it back or break it break it off
Next time you point a finger I'll point you to the mirror
