After another painful dive into Ozzie metal I found little with no screaming.
I recalled Thrombus...still too monotonous for my taste, but I remembered they did a Cure cover.
While I hunt something a little more....me... I'll present that..

Another band I've seen many times - Spiderbait.
They had some international success with this album, but I find it tragic that they couldn't carry this energy into subsequent releases. If you don't know it, I recommend the whole album (links)

I can find metal bands I like in any country except Oz.
These guys came pretty close by having a band member who can sing. The rest are screamers, but they have a number of songs with a decent voice.
Sienna Skies. (Listed in genre "Post-hardcore" in discogs. Is it just that voice making the "post"?)

Killing Heidi sure know how to thrash out a chorus, but are pretty energy economical for the rest.
If it's not yet obvious I'm willing to compromise my musical principles for a pretty face, this may illustrate it. The first album link is worth checking for style.

Thanks FXE for the low screaming crossover. I liked that.

These guys REALLY need a recording engineer.
Their albums don't sound like they were recorded in a toilet, they sound as if they were recorded FROM the toilet.

Not quite my style, but I wanted to point out I don't mind throat singing. It's just screaming that leaves me cold.
More Melbourne Metal ...

One of us must have f****d up hearing because this sounds perfectly cromulent to my ears.

Even these aren't so bad:

This is a little rough, but still works:

Also, I forgot all about Blood Duster but listened to them back in high school.

OK... They barely make it into "power-pop", but what did I say about pretty faces?

Selection will be a bit easier for the next few days, as I'm going to go through the band list for the festival next fortnight.
Looking forward to blowing some sh!t up as Lead Pyro :D
I'd never heard of this band before, but I present you with... Bonnie Rust
