"No limit" by 2 unlimited

Lemme hear ya say yeah (wow!)
LEMME HEAR YA SAY YEAH (WOW!)

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!
No no limits, we'll reach for the sky!
No valley too deep. No mountain too high.
No no limits, well reach for the sky,
we do what we want and we do it with pride.
Lemme hear ya say yeah (wow!)

Hard to the core, I feel the floor.
When I'm on stage, yo, ya answer more.
When I'm on the edge, I know the ledge,
I work real hard to collect my cash!
Tick tick ticka tick take your time,
when I'm goin I'm goin for mine.
Open your ears and you will hear it.
I tell you this cause there's no limit!

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, there's no limit!

Ow! Hey yay yeah hey hey!
Now, now, heh yeah yeh hey hey! Hoo!
No limits allowed, cause there's much crowd,
microphone check as i choose my route.
I'm playing on the road; Iv'e got no fear,
the south from my mouth is on record here.
There never will be no mountain too high.
Reach the top, touch the sky!
They tried to diss me cause i sell out...
I'm making techno and I am proud!

Mockingbird
( Carly Simon and James Taylor )

Mock (yeah) ing (yeah) bird (yeah)
Yeah (yeah)
Mockingbird

Now, everybody have you heard?
He's gonna buy me a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird don't sing
He's gonna buy me a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring won't shine
He's gonna surely break this heart of mine
And that's why I keep on tellin' everybody
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

Hear me now and understand
He's gonna find me some piece of mind
And if that piece of mind won't stay
I'm gonna find myself a better way
And if that better way ain't so
I'll ride with the tide and go with the flow
And that's why I keep on shoutin' in your ear
Say yeah, yeah whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh

[break]

Now, everybody have you heard?
She's gonna buy me a mockingbird
Yeah, if that mockingbird don't sing
She's gonna buy me a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring won't shine
Yes, it'll surely break this heart of mine
And there's a reason why I keep on tellin' everybody
Say yeah, yeah no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

Listen now and understand
She's gonna find me some piece of mind
Yeah if that piece of mind won't stay
I'm gonna get myself a better way
I might rise above, I might go below
Ride with the tide and go with the flow
And that's the reason why I keep on shoutin' in your ear
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, now, now, baby

*thumbs up to placebo & nirvana & metallica & ... forgot the rest* I would post my usual listening music, however i think it might be inappropriate
anyway ill take up some space:

November Rain - Guns 'n' Roses
When I look into your eyes
I can see a love restrained
But darlin' when I hold you
Don't you know I feel the same
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain
We've been through this such a long long time
Just tryin' to kill the pain
But lovers always come and lovers always go
An no one's really sure who's lettin' go today
Walking away
If we could take the time to lay it on the line
I could rest my head
Just knowin' that you were mine
All mine
So if you want to love me
then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin'
In the cold November rain

Do you need some time...on your own
Do you need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone
I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you

Sometimes I need some time...on my
own Sometimes I need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone

And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain, ohhh yeahhh
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

my fav lyrics atm would be korn but i think ill save that for my ears lol.

LIFE BECOMING A LANDSLIDE by the MANIC STREET PREACHERS

childbirth tears upon her muscle
very first second a screaming icon
babies in time barely even recognise
words that once stroked now bruising tired lips

my idea of love comes from
a childhood glimpse of pornography
though there is no true love
just a finely tuned jealousy

life becoming a landslide
ice freezing nature dead
life becoming a landslide
i don't wanna be a man

everyday more numb to agony
this the howl, this the sigh of the lonely
one day i realise oil on canvas
can never paint a petal so, so delicate

life becoming a landslide
a mile empty inside
life becoming a landslide
desire on its knees

Wasn't he a member of the band "Genesis"

Genesis is one of my favourite bands (I like older music)

Here's one of my favourite: "Ripples"

Bluegirls come in every size
Some are wise and some otherwise,
They got pretty blue eyes.
For an hour a man may change
For an hour her face looks strange -
Looks strange, looks strange.

Marching to the promised land
Where the honey flows and takes you by the hand,
Pulls you down on your knees,
While you're down a pool appears.
The face in the water looks up,
And she shakes her head as if to say
That it's the last time you'll look like today.

Sail away, away
Ripples never come back.
Gone to the other side.
Sail away, away.

The face that launched a thousand ships
Is sinking fast, that happens you know,
The water gets below.
Seems not very long ago
Lovelier she was than any that I know.

Angels never know it's time
To close the book and gracefully decline,
The song has found a tale.
My, what a jealous pool is she.
The face in the water looks up
She shakes her head as if to say
That the bluegirls have all gone away.

Sail away, away
Ripples never come back.
They've gone to the other side.
Look into the pool,
Ripples never come back,
Dive to the bottom and go to the top
To see where they have gone
Oh, they've gone to the other side...

Sail away, away
Ripples never come back.
Gone to the other side.
Look into the pool,
The ripples never come back, come back,
Dive to the bottom and go to the top
To see where they have gone
They've gone to the other side
Ripples never come back
Sail away, away...

Yeah, Tony Banks played keyboards. He and Mike Rutherford (of Mike and the Mechanics fame) were members of the original band, with Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett. Phil Collins was a later addition after their drummer left (first appeared on Nursery Crime). Peter Gabriel left the band in 1978, and Steve Hackett left a couple of years later. Phil Collins finally left the band "officially" in 1998 or so, but he had pretty much left in the early '90's.

I'm also quite a Genesis fan, especially the older stuff with Peter Gabriel. I always enjoyed this quote as a description of the band (from an old version of the All-Music Guide): "Genesis is an anamoly in music because while they have had many mediocre albums and only a few good albums, they have never had a bad album."

Nine Inch Nails - "Down In It"

kinda like a cloud i was up way up in the sky.
and i was feeling some feelings you wouldn't believe.
sometimes i don't believe them myself and i decided i was never coming down.

just then a tiny little dot caught my eye.
it was just about too small to see.
but i watched it way too long.
that dot was pulling me down.

[Chorus:]
i was up above it.
i was up above it.
i was up above it.
i was up above it.
now i'm down in it

shut up.
so what what does it matter now.
i was swimming in the hate now i crawl on the ground.
and everything i never liked about you is kind of seeping into me.
i try to laugh about it now but isn't it funny how everything works out.
i guess the jokes on me.

[Chorus]

i used to be so big and strong.
i used to know my right from wrong.
i used to never be afraid.
i used to be somebody.

i used to have something inside.
now just this hole it's open wide.
used to want it all.
i used to be somebody.

i'll cross my heart and hope to die.
but the needle's already in my eye.
and all the world's weight is on my back and i don't even know why.
and what i used to think was me is just a fading memory.
i looked him right in the eye and said "goodbye."

The White Stripes - I'm Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet)

Well I miss my mother
And I miss being her son
As crazy as I was I
Guess I wasn't much of one
Sometimes I miss her so much,
I want to hop on the next jet
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

And I love my sister
Lord knows how I've missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won't forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

I roll over in bed
Looking for someone to touch
There's a girl that I know of
That don't ask for much
She's homely, and she's cranky
And her hair's in a net
And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

Are you my friend when I need one
I need someone to be one
I'll take anybody I can get
Sometimes I wanna call you
But I feel like a pet
And I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

I go down to the river
Filled with regret
I go down and I wonder
If there's any reason left
I left just before my lungs could get wet
I'm lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

And I love my sister
Lord knows how I've missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won't forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet
Yeah I get lonely, but I ain't that lonely yet

Here is the beginning of one of my favorite songs "Retour à toi" from Etienne Daho :

Ennemi de soi-même, comment aimer les autres
Etranger à soi-même, étranger pour les autres
Qui réduit au silence, le fracas de l'enfance
Et avance masqué, en attendant sa chance
Et sous les apparences, le prix du vêtement
Personne ne voit les plaies et le sang de celui qui survit

Mais quand demain se lèvera, ah, je serai libre, retour à toi
Et quand demain se lèvera, ah, je serai libre, retour à moi

:( Yes it is a french singer so here is a very poor litteral translation

Enemy of oneself, how to like others ?
Alien to oneself, alien to others
Who reduces to silence the row of childhood
And moves forward masked while waiting for one's luck
And under one's appearence, the price of the outfit
Nobody notices the wounds and the blood of the one who survives

But when tomorrow rises, I will be free, coming back to you
And when tomorrow rises, I will be free, coming back to me.

Legal link to the online clip (realplayer needed) The cartoon man walking represents the singer.

I have always been a fan of Daho and now I realize that he really displays AS patterns when interwieved.

Nickel Creek
"Tomorrow Is A Long Time"

If today was not an endless highway
If tonight was not a crooked trail
If tomorrow wasn't such a long time
Then lonesome would mean nothing to me at all

Yes, and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear his heart softly pounding
Yes, and only if he was lying by me
Would I lie in my bed once again

I can't see my reflection in the waters
I can't speak the sounds that show no pain
I can't hear the echo of my footsteps
Or remember the sound of my own name

Yes, and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear his heart softly pounding
Yes, and only if he was lying by me
Would I lie in my bed once again

There's beauty in that silver singing river
There's beauty in that sunrise in the sky
But none of these and nothing else can touch the beauty
That I remember in my true love's eyes

Yes, and only if my own true love was waiting
If I could hear his heart softly pounding
Yes, and only if he was lying by me
Would I lie in my bed once again

<sigh>

Spineshank - Asthmatic

it starts to tear me down
destroyed by what I create
it left the nerve exposed
feels like a lost cause
frustration's all I have left
it's what reduced me to this
turned me against myself
it's still a lost cause

I can't keep doing this to myself
but it's the only way to forget who I am

your disability
kept pushing me away
it went beneath what's so real to me
and threw it all away
I underestimated
the lengths that you would have gone
to deny who you are
you threw it all away

I will keep doing this to myself
'cause it's the only way to forget who I am

I never wanted your help
I never needed your help
this failure has to be all mine all mine now
i'll turn my back on myself
if it's my only way out
it can only help me if it hurts

I won't give into, I won't give into...
I won't become one with your lies

I never wanted your help
I never needed your help
this failure has to be all mine all mine now
i'll turn my back on myself
if it's my only way out
i'm too tired to feel anything anyway

I will keep doing this to myself
'cause it's the only way to forget who I am

I never wanted your help
I never needed your help
this failure has to be all mine all mine now
i'll turn my back on myself
if it's my only way out
i'm too tired to feel anything anyway

I have become one with your lies

I thought of three I had to share today - a wake up call, some healthy cynicism, and a lament. Enjoy...

A Perfect Circle - Pet
Don't fret precious I'm here, step away from the window
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come

Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble

Head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Pay no mind what other voices say
They don't care about you, like I do, like I do
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils,
See, they don't give a f**k about you, like I do.

Just stay with me, safe and ignorant,
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come
Count the bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble

Head down, go to sleep to the rhythm of the war drums

I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and all your demons

I'll be the one to protect you from
A will to survive and a voice of reason

I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and your choices son
They're one in the same
I must isolate you
Isolate and save you from yourself

Swayin to the rhythm of the new world order and
Count the bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums

The boogeymen are coming
The boogeymen are coming

Keep your head down, go to sleep, to the rhythm of a war drums

Stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Just stay with me
Hold you and protect you from the other ones
The evil ones
Don't love you son,
Go back to sleep

Dead Kennedys - Trust Your Mechanic
TV invents a disease
You think you have
So you buy our drugs
And soon you depend on them
Pain is in your mind
Gotcha comin' back for more
Again and again and again and again
Gonna rip you off
Rip you off

Doctor says you need surgery now
Feelin' good 'til the side effects
f**k up something else
You're ensnared by the medicine man
Paying up the ass
Again and again
Gonna rip you off

Trust your mechanic to mend your car
Bring it in to his garage
He tightens and loosens a few spare parts
One thing's fixed, another falls apart
And the rich eat you

A magazine says your face don't look quite right
Unless you wear our brand new wonder creme tonight
Never look right again
Unless you grease your skin
Again and again and again and again
Gonna rip you off

Told you're depressed
So of course you see the psychiatrist
Right when you hit your neuroses' roots
He confuses you
He f***s your head up worse
Gotcha feeling helpless
You're comin' back for more
Again and again
Gonna rip you off
Rip you off

Trust your mechanic
To make you well
You're seeing an awful lot of him now
The quicker he makes your life fall apart
The more money you put in his pockets

Trust your mechanic
To plug your holes
Trust him to make more
Somewhere else
Trust your mechanic
He'll always come through
And rip you off

New Model Army - No Greater Love
There's storm clouds amassing over in the west up above the moor
The city shines in grey, mills closing down on the valley floor
All you can do here is survive, grit your teeth and just stay alive
And never understand

The young ones they dance with fire in their hearts until the years go by
And older, defeated they stare in their beer at closing time
No greater love could there ever be
Than what I feel for you, what you gave to me
You saved my life from this

While kings are in their counting houses, people just wait here in silent rows
They spat and they jeered in a last desperate fear as they watched us go
Remember how we turned and ran
Heads into the wind running hand in hand
We laughed until we cried
So many tears . . .

"Tickle Cove Pond" by Great Big Sea. It's a traditional song from their latest album, The Hard and The Easy(awesome album BTW) Scholars disagree as to whether the horse actually dies, or if the guy just thinks the horse is dead until she is out of the pond. I think she lives(this is one of two "horses fall into pond and need to be dragged out" songs on this CD-the horse in the other song dies)

In cuttin and haulin in frost and in snow
we're up against troubles that few people know
It's only by courage and patience and grit
and eatin plain food that we keep ourselves fit
The hard and the easy we take as they come
and when ponds freeze over we shorten our runs
to hurry my haulin with spring coming on
I near lost me a mare out on Tickle Cove Pond

Lay hold William Oldford, lay hold William White
Lay hold of the cordage and pull all your might
Lay hold of the bowline and pull all you can
And give me a lift with poor Kit on the pond

I knew that the ice grew weaker each day
But still took the risk and kept haulin away
One evening in April bound home with a load
my mare showed some halting against the ice road
She knew more than I did as matters turned out
Been lucky for me had I joined her in doubt
She turned round her head with tears in her eyes
As if she were sayin "You're risking our lives"

All this I ignored with a whip handle blow
For man is a stupid dumb creature you know
And the very next moment the pond gave a sigh
and up to our necks went poor Kitty and I

Lay hold William Oldford, lay hold William White
Lay hold of the cordage and pull all your might
Lay hold of the bowline and pull all you can
And give me a lift with poor Kit on the pond

And if I had taken wise Kitty's advice
I ne'er would have made that short cut on the ice
Poor creature she's dead, poor creature she's gone
I'll ne'er get my mare out of Tickle Cove Pond

I raised an alarm you could hear for a mile
and neighbours showed up in a very short while
You can always rely on the Oldfords and Whites
To render assistance in all your bad plights
To help a kind neighbour is part of their lives
The same can be said for their children and wives
And with the rope fastened around the mare's breast
William White for a shanty song made a request
There was no time for thinkin no time for delay
Straight from his heart came this song right away

Lay hold William Oldford, lay hold William White
Lay hold of the cordage and pull all your might
Lay hold of the bowline and pull all you can
And give me a lift with poor Kit on the pond

Lay hold William Oldford, lay hold William White
Lay hold of the cordage and pull all your might
Lay hold of the bowline and pull all you can
And with that we took Kit out of Tickle Cove Pond

Another one from GBS's THatE.

"Cod Liver Oil"

I'm a young married man and I'm tired of life
Ten years I've been married to a pale sickly wife
She's nothing to do, only sit there and cry
Praying and praying to God she would die

Oh doctor, oh doctor, oh dear Doctor John
Your cod liver oil is so pure and so strong
I'm afraid of my life, I'll go down in the soil
If me wife don't stop drinking your cod liver oil

Well a friend of my own came to see me one day
And he told me my wife she was pining away
He afterwards told me that she would get strong
If I'd get a bottle from dear Doctor John

Oh doctor, oh doctor, oh dear Doctor John
Your cod liver oil is so pure and so strong
I'm afraid of my life, I'll go down in the soil
If me wife don't stop drinking your cod liver oil

I bought her a bottle just for to try
And the way that she drank it, you'd think she might die
I bought her another, it vanished the same
And then she got cod liver oil on the brain

Oh doctor, oh doctor, oh dear Doctor John
Your cod liver oil is so pure and so strong
I'm afraid of my life, I'll go down in the soil
If me wife don't stop drinking your cod liver oil

I bought her another, she drank it no doubt
And then she began to get terrible stout
And when she got stout, well of course she got strong
And I became jealous of dear Doctor John

Oh doctor, oh doctor, oh dear Doctor John
Your cod liver oil is so pure and so strong
I'm afraid of my life, I'll go down in the soil
If me wife don't stop drinking your cod liver oil

Our house it resembles a great doctor's shop
It's covered in bottles from bottom to top
Well early the morning the kettle do boil
You would swear it was singing of cod liver oil

Oh doctor, oh doctor, oh dear Doctor John
Your cod liver oil is so pure and so strong
I'm afraid of my life, I'll go down in the soil
If me wife don't stop drinking your cod liver oil

Again, from GBS's THatE, Captain Kidd. Supposedly this one is written from the repentant speech Captain Kidd made before he was executed.

My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.

My father taught me well
To shun the gates of hell,
But against him I rebelled as I sailed,
He shoved a bible in my hand
But I left it in the sand
And I pulled away from land,
As I sailed

My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.

I murdered William Moore
And I left him in his gore
Twenty leagues away from shore
As I sailed,
And being crueler still, the gunner I did kill
All his precious blood did spill,
As I sailed,

My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.

I was sick and nigh to death,
And I vowed at every breath,
Oh to walk in wisdom's path,
As I sailed
But my repentance lasted not,
My vows I soon forgot,
Oh damnation is my lot,
As I sailed.

My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.

To the execution dock
Lay my head upon the block,
Laws no more I'll mock as I sail,
So take warning here and heed
To shun bad company
Or you'll wind up just like me
As I sailed.
