To each their own, but take note that Reverend Run, DMC, Melle Mel, Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS-ONE, MC Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Slick Rick are all older than you are. :P So it's hardly the young'uns' music anymore.
There's no problem with venting some frustration, but it is a bit misaimed when you vent it in a thread where people are sharing their favourite music. Pax.

I'm listening to Missy Elliott's 'Under Construction' album right now.

I'm definitely more of an old school (80s-00s) fan. Can't stand a lot of it these days, whether the mixtape circuit or mainstream, but there are saving graces like Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, and, as always, The Roots. I have something a love/hate relationship with Kanye.
