Almost 60% done; hope to finish today and perhaps start on some F. Scott Fitzgerald.

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald.

So far, I think I liked The Golden Key and The Light Princess better. But this is still quite enjoyable.

I'm currently reading Cold Lead: The Life, Times, and Death of 1890's Killer Tom Blanck.
Basically, this is non-fiction, about a little remembered desperado of the Pacific Northwest, Tom Blanck, who the author, Mark Dugan, argues was perhaps the most dangerous gunman of the old west.

I'm concurrently reading new translations of Epictetus: Discourses & The Enchiridion, Musonius Rufus: Lectures and Sayings, Seneca: Letters From A Stoic, The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, and (not translated :P ) Stoic Serenity: A Practical Course on Finding Inner Peace.

It is amazing how much the translations can effect the impact of a work... I wish I could read Latin and Greek. :(

Surprisingly funny look at the history of murdered political figures and how society promotes them--worthy or not--to positions of martyrdom.

Humankind leaves earth, designating it a nature preserve, and lives in a giant sealed colony that circles the planet (like the rings of Saturn) in the upper stratosphere. And somebody has to clean the windows on that gigantic thing...

Not fiction, but very interesting book I just got in the mail...

Egypt: Child of Africa (actually a compilation of many different papers that were edited by Ivan Van Sertima)

Finally finished Angela's Ashes. Earlier this evening, I started Chinese Cinderella and I'm around page 180. Almost done. I plan on going to the library tomorrow.

Rafael's Love-Child by Kate Walker. I picked it up at a thrift store yesterday, along with 5 other romance novels. I expected it to be smarmy crap worse than Twilight, but I was wrong, very wrong. This book has proven to me that just because I disliked one romance novel doesn't mean I should dismiss all of them. This book had me swooning! I'm only on page 45 and I can't wait to pick it up again!

Joey Pigza Swallowed The Key by Jack Gantos.

Good book. Reminds me of how I was when I was a kid.

The Trial by Franz Kafka

I feel as if I'll like it; I also feel as if I have been reading a book a day lately.

Oh, I've read that book. It's really good! Got to get myself an M1 Garand before the zombie apocalypse starts.
