Stepping into the WABAC machine and heading back to the golden year of 1979, the Alan Parsons Project album "Eve" was yet another of Alan's concept albums, this one devoted to the subject of misogeny. It is my favorite of his albums but an underperformer at the cash register. A pity.

Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music
The Church - Magician Among the Spirits
Bohren & der Club of Gore - Midnight Radio (I prefer the first two albums, with a guitarist, to the more acclaimed "noir jazz" that came later)
The Magnetic Fields - The Wayward Bus
Pere Ubu - The Art of Walking
Slovenly - Highway to Hanno's
Sodom - Obsessed by Cruelty
Stars of the Lid - Music for Nitrous Oxide
Unrest - Malcolm X Park
White Zombie - Soul-Crusher
