Hrvatski - Rosy Parlane New Zealand (Insect Digestion Melancholy)

There are no words in the song. It starts off nice and quietly enough even if it sounds a bit odd, but later on quickly changes into an extremely loud mash of cacophonic electric noise, with the same music box tune from the beginning of the song playing for a short while quietly underneath the raging bass.

Mmm, metaphors.

This is kind of off-topic, but I personally love this song, though literally everyone I know who's heard it has told me it sounds awful. Man, no love for IDM.

I would say either Scum of the Earth (by Rob Zombie) or Getting Smaller (by Nine Inch Nails)

He seemed no different from the rest
Just a healthy normal boy
His mama always did her best
And he was daddy's pride and joy

He learned to walk and talk on time
But never cared much to be held
and steadily he would decline
Into his solitary shell

As a boy he was considered somewhat odd
Kept to himself most of the time
He would daydream in and out of his own world
but in every other way he was fine

He's a Monday morning lunatic
Disturbed from time to time
Lost within himself
In his solitary shell

A temporary catatonic
Madman on occasion
When will he break out
Of his solitary shell

He struggled to get through his day
He was helplessly behind
He poured himself onto the page
Writing for hours at a time

As a man he was a danger to himself
Fearful and sad most of the time
He was drifting in and out of sanity
But in every other way he was fine

He's a Monday morning lunatic
Disturbed from time to time
Lost within himself
In his solitary shell

A momentary maniac
With casual delusions
When will he be let out
Of his solitary shell

I don't think I've heard a song that's really been a complete fit, but here's some that have gotten some aspects covered with lyrics I'd be able to relate to for most of my life (even though I only started getting into music recently and wouldn't have heard of them then):

Orgy - "Vague"

Curve - "Unreadable Communication"

Nine Inch Nails - "And All That Could Have Been"

I'm probably leaning a little towards Maria Schneider's "Hang Gliding", an extremely well written piece of jazz music that I enjoy a lot. She has a Myspace online, so you can listen to that song on there if you want.

The first one is Silent all these years by Tori Amos.

I once tried to do a "soundtrack to my life", but couldn't find any other good ones.

It's always hard to pick one, but I'd probably pick 'Joy' by VNV Nation. The title is steeped in an irony of sorts, so I need to post the entire lyric for it to make sense.

Have I no control, is my soul not mine?
Am I not just man, destiny defined?
Never to be ruled nor held to heel.
Not heaven or hell just the land between.

Am I not man, does my heart not bleed?
No Lord, no God, no hate, no pity, no pain, just ME.
Comprehend and countermand.
Synchronous guidance. I choose my way.
Never to be ruled nor held to heel.
Not heaven or hell just the land between.

and am I not man?

So why do I love when I still feel pain?
When does it end, when is my work done?
Why am I lone and why do I feel
that I carry a sword through a battle field?
So why do I love when I still feel pain?
When does it end, when is my work done?
Why do I fight and why do I feel
that I carry a sword, that I carry a sword?

Like the path to heaven or the road to hell
our choice is our own consequences bind.
We are the kings of wisdom, the fools as well.
We are the gods to many, we are humble men.

We who build great works just to break them down.
We who make our rules so we never fail.
So why do I love when I still feel pain?
When does it end, when is my work done?
Why am I lone and why do I feel
that I carry a sword through a battle field?
So why do I love when I still feel pain?
When does it end, when is my work done?
Why do I fight and why do I feel
that I carry a sword, that a carry a sword?

I can think of 5, I can't decide on which is the main one.

Some Might Say - Oasis
The Importance Of Being Idle - Oasis
Nobody's Listening - Linkin Park
Time Is Running Out - Muse
Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz

Hey...oh...

Oh, she walks slowly, across a young mans room
She said Im ready...for you
I cant remember anything to this very day

Oh, and do I deserve to be
Is that the question
And if so...if so...who answers...who answers...

Jett sings that? I've only heard it on the "Shrek" soundtrack, done by Half Cocked...if it's the same song.

Other songs for my list:

1) Jon Bon Jovi - "It's My Life"
2) Kenny Loggins - "Playing With The Boys" (Top Gun)
3) Heather Small - "Proud" - www.myspace.com/heathersmall (Queer As Folk, Season 1 soundtrack)

The reasons are quite simple.

1) I often feel pressure, like people are trying to control me and make decisions for me that I don't want. For example: A guy won't date me b/c I have short hair? That's his problem. I don't have the patience (or interest) in letting it grow out long like most guys want.
2) I've always been a tomboy, so I'm more comfortable around guys.
3) I'm quite stubbornly independent, so there's a lot I've done on my own. I've made tons of mistakes along the way, but I am proud of what I've accomplished.
