I enjoy listening to electronic music in general, usually leaning towards Ambient or IDM.

As for techno in itself, I haven't had that much of a chance to try it out. I guess I'll start by sifting through some of these videos already posted.

I like Acid House, early Hardcore, Gabber, Drum N Bass, Jungle and Dubstep- I don't like Donk or Happy Hardcore though. I have been to a few raves but I've never been to a hardcore rave before, though I'd like to give it a try! :)

Here's some Martin Schulte for those who like it deep. Just started getting familiar with this guy last year but suffice to say I think Scuba might have picked up some ideas along the way from him:

I just found this today!

Charanjit Singh released an album called 'Ten Ragas Set To A Disco Beat' in the early eighties, this pre-dates acid house by 5 years!

Hmm, and then you have the India-Brittain connect. It does make you wonder.

I'm unsure what does and doesn't qualify as techno. However, I must say I am quite fond of Cosmic Gate and Kraftwerk.

Are you using techno as a blanket term or as the genre of music?

Damn, just realized this thread was a year old.
