I'm here and hope to get to know you better. You should be able to find Shatterworld in used book sites.
I hope to self-publish the Shatterworld trilogy this year. The main character has asperger's and her brother has autism.

As the jackals pace about restlessly laughing at the cubs they plan to devour they are so busy laughing that they do not realize that the Lion is returning.

Some people feel inferior to those around them. The pack mentality is to strike out at those who they believe are weaker or not quite as smart as them. This strokes their ego and makes them feel better about their own inferiority. As said on the playground, "Nah nah boo boo, I'm smarter than you." Keep your inferiority complex.

"We should not be astonished if in the cases where we see an inferiority [feeling] complex we find a superiority complex more or less hidden. On the other hand, if we inquire into a superiority complex and study its continuity, we can always find a more or less hidden inferiority [feeling] complex."~ Alfred Adler

I have received a few emails from Christians that call my company and its work pagan in nature because of the sci-fi/fantasy themes used in the content with the claim to be Christian in nature.

Of course, it is human nature for others to see someone trying to create something that others do not yet fully understand and do something that they believe whole heatedly is a good thing and then others try to discourage them. For every 10 emails I get in support of the Christian Sci-fi/Fantasy novels/RPGS/video games we are working on, I get one from someone (Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, Satanist) who gains some form of enjoyment from sending emails flaming me or my company. This is typical. They want to destroy that which others are trying to build out of jealousy due to lack of their own creativity or courage to put themselves out there as you have. Do not be dissuaded.

Nissa,

I took a writing class from OSC this year. He did state that Alvin was kind of a Joseph Smith. No I'm not Mormon but that didnt stop me from taking the writing class. He is a great writer after all and the knowledge I gleaned from that class was priceless.

Hi Nissa! The Shatterworld Trilogy was picked up by Written World Communications. Its CEO and I and the hero of the books have asperger's. The first book should come out in January.
Hi Randyness! Do you already belong to a critique group? I lost mine when everybody moved or got full-time work. Even if you don't want to cross critique, I would still like to see your work.

Hey Randyness777. I went to your website and I am intrigued! My oldest son who is in Kirkland and an artist for GuildWars has also invented a world and someday hopes to have it involved in novels and games and movies etc. I've written two and half novels for him. Some of the people who go to his church make movies.
I have to run, but I hope to explore this more later.

Apart from Tim LaHaye and the whole Left Behind phenomenon?
Dispensational bible teaching, from The Late Great Planet Earth onwards,
presents itself as secular science-fantasy with a thin coating of
Christian sermonizing.

As for science-fiction or fantasy on Christian themes, I don't know of
anyone who has achieved much while specializing in this field.

Douglas_MacNeill,

Besides CS Lewis, I dont either. Donita K. Paul has seemed to have done well. Its a really niche market and hard to bust into. Im trying though. Lelia, The Guild Wars art is spectacular. It sounds like there might be some connections that could be made between him and me. Or is the correct grammar "him and I"? Ive gone through so many edits on my book that Im thinking about these things as of late.

I just finished the manuscript for a Christian Sci-Fi/Fantasy novel (Secret of the Magi) that is partly based in the world of Soterion mentioned on our website. Keith Carroll (literary agent for T.D. Jakes) has accepted the manuscript and will be presenting it to publishers for consideration. The agent is sure this book will be published and it can speed up the publishing considerations if we can get a thousand people to pre-order. There is no money needed to pre-register. You are merely stating that you plan to buy the book when it is published. I am not sure the cost at this time because it is up to the publishers but the agent projected 14.99.

If you pre-register and we reach the 1000, you get a chance to win a free copy of our two novels (Keep Solstice and Secret of the Magi), the RPG Book, and a free copy of the video game when it comes out. The books will be signed by the author to you.

To learn about the book and pre-register go to: soterion[dot\com/Stories[dot\html and click the "Registration" link at the bottom of the page.

We appreciate your support!

I pre-registered yesterday. I am looking forward to seeing the book. You can find Joshua Foreman in Kirkland on FaceBook.

I agree: Nissa is being perfectly civil and respectful and mocking her beliefs just makes one look barbaric; thus, I, as an humanistic, teleological atheist, shall post a couple of authors that I think she might like.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R._A._Laff ... asy_novels
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murray_Leinster

I have never read either but they are both Catholic and according to Wikipedia quite well renowned.

This is the first time in my life I have seen a positive post from an atheist in response to a Christian queries. I disagree with your non-theism , however; commend you on your etiquette and respect for others' beliefs. And you actually help her along the path she was seeking. Well met.

Hello Nissa, just to get this out of the way, I am not christian but hear me out please. I have read on wiki that a common plot in Christian Scifi is going back in time to see jesus die and find that they caused it or something like that, idk if that may be of your interests. I have a question though, I dont think you may know the answer but someone here may: Is there any Jewish Science Fiction? Along that comes the question of if there is muslim scifi, but that doesnt really apply to me  .
I hope you are fortunate in your christian scifi/fantasy and continue to go through those darned atheist evangelists...

Hi!

I think I can answer your question, @CommanderAspie613 (this number tells me something :D). I'm not sure if this is Jewish science fiction in content, but Isaac Asimov is a Jewish author who wrote science fiction, though he became an atheist. So probably there's no more than some Jewish references in his texts. I never read them, so I can't say anything for sure.

And about the Christian fantasy / science fiction, I find it really interesting. I'm not Christian, but I love the way C.S. Lewis, for example, merged the Christian themes with Roman/Greek mythologies. He's definitely a master from whom we have a lot to learn.
