I know its considered "chav music" by some people. But I'm not a chav. I'm a raver. Ravers listen to it, so do chavs. However, theres a really big difference between a ravers (usually a normal person who is a big fan of dance music in general) and a chavs (yobby twats who nobody likes)

I also listen to what haters would consider "real music" too such as jazz, psychedelic rock, intelligent techno/electronica, and chillout. I love because its upbeat, simple and energising. BTW, I dislike chavs.

By the way, if you want to hear chav music, "nu monkey" is chav music. Good god, don't listen to it. I had to experience the trauma of it all through secondary school!

Ravers can be just as bad imo.

Well I guess if thats your opinion then thats ok as I believe in respecting others opinions.

Electronic music and rave/dance music is my special interest see, and I like certain genres and subgenres, such as this one. I made this thread hoping to find other people who liked it. I can understand why some people dislike it but for some reason I can't get enough of it. Just try to remember that not everybody who listens to it is a loudmouthed chavvy yob. Some of us are decent, intelligent and (somewhat) ordinary people! :)

I said can be, I didn't mean they all are. You're obviously not as you seem to be really nice and intelligent.

Thanks bro. I just hope other people reading this thread don't get uppity about people disliking it expressing their opinions. I always hate it when people argue in threads, lol. I kinda expected a couple of people to say they didn't like it anyway because the genre is a little bit like marmite, you either love it or you hate it. ^_^

Ravers can be pretty dumb and wh*reish. As bad as chavs or juggalos can be at times. But then, I come from a society of weirdos, so I shouldn't be talking bad about anyone. Chavs are still stupid and deserve death.

My biggest complaint at raves were conversations like this:

Me: Hey, who's on deck right now? They're throwing down pretty hard.

Unveiled Idiot: I dunno meeannn, I'm just here for the drugs.

There were always lots of people who just really liked the music - in my area we tended to like it dark - whether it was the darker side of techno, dusky tech-trance, or Aliens'esque dnb sets brought in by about two or three minutes of 1-4-8 chords for windup. People who were into that needless to say weren't big fans of the idiots who just showed up to get high.

Theres good and bad in every group. Ravers just there for the drugs = Bad ravers.

Ravers who are there for the music and the drugs are a side thing = Better, usually just kids my age who are doing it cos its fun.

Ravers who are completely straight the whole time = Good ravers

Thats why some people put another R onto the end of PLUR, so it becomes PLURR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect & Responsibility)

The idea of a rave is to listen to good music, dance and not be (completely) blazed.

Peace.
