I am more of a metalhead....but I enjoy some punk and/or punk related bands/genres. Psychobilly/Rockabilly stuff is pretty appealing to me especially when it has a stand up base, I also enjoy the sound of goth punk, like the stuff the actual goth sub-culture was formed around...I don't really know a lot of bands by name or sound though like I do with metal.

Closest I get is Rise Against and Thrice. Used to like Dead Kennedys and The Unseen, but I just don't care much for punk vocals these days.

Although punk does have my favorite bass solo....Maxwell Murder by Rancid.

I love punk rock! My mom grew up in DC and personally knew henry rollins. My mom owned an indie rock store and we sold a lot of punk rock albums. I love hardcore from the 80-90's such an Infest but I'm also into emo/screamo (which i could consider a sub genre of punk) such as Orchid. Been really getting into White Lung and F***** up recently.

The most incredibly hardcore Punk Instrumental I have ever heard was Berzerker performed by Blues Saraceno. In fact, the Megas XLR soundtrack had plenty of Punk Rock themes. Search up the Megas XLR Soundtrack on YouTube and find all the punk themes and listen to them. They're awesome escpecially the fast paced ones.

Yes, punk is great. Consider how punks tend to be against the norm, and how the norm tends to be against us aspies, I'm not surprised at the number of wrongplanet users who are part of the punk scene. However, I've met some pretty elitists punks out there. Plus, of course you know how angry + rebellious punks can be. You would think they'd be angry at those who deserve the anger or people in power, but a lot of the punks i know irl (not most but some) tend to be angry at people who are different than them (aspies, those with other mental disabilities, sometimes LGBT believe it or not).

Yeah I know a few people in the punk scene around where I live who are pretty much the people that most people in the punk scene are trying to avoid in the first place. I've been ridiculed a lot because of my aspergers by a few people in the scene, having them call me "creepy" and other things of that nature. It's really sad seeing that people now only see punk as a fashion and not a community.

Been getting big into Darkthrone. They went from black metal to some kind of black metal/crust punk fusion and then into pure crust punk. I prefer the latter two styles to their pure black metal stuff.

Ben Weasel is so awesome though. My mom actually met him at one of her records shows, I think my mom and my dad interviewed him as well, she said she wrote the interview down in one of the zines she made for her record store back in the day.

Punk's been an vital, positive influence in my life since my early teens (that's 3 decades people!). I played in a number of bands in the 90's opening for groups like Fugazi, Bikini Kill, Ween and others, was also involved in a lot of collage art and zine publishing in past years. But even now I see it's sustaining influence in so far as my attitude and general outlook goes, questioning the values of the dominant culture and looking at the world through a critical/skeptical eye.

Here's a Seattle rock/ska band playing an Aquabats cover. You don't see the guitarist except his wrist but I hear he's a hottie!

I love ATR (Atari Teenage Riot) but I'm not sure if their music counts as punk...
