I wasn't going to throw this guy straight into teh Napalm Death. I thought that might be a bit irresponsible.

Wrong. It's irresponsible not to introduce people to Napalm Death.

It's your duty! :salut:

Again, Pandora.com is great for finding unheard of bands that are really good!

I don't listen to any other style then dance / progressive dance / tech house/ progressive house / trance / dubstep / Electro / DNB when I'm at 24hr fitness or working out by myself at the park.

For COD(Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2), I usually listen to dance music but you didn't list it so I'll stay away from that as much as possible. The other genera's I'll listen to as well are hip-hop and reggae/dub. Most of the music I listen aren't on Youtube though. Here's a few tracks with a video from youtube.

Gramatik - Muy Tranquilo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZK9Zi26Izc

Dreadsquad & Tenor Fly -- Sweet Thing (Adam Faz dub rmx)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aglYB0lxM4I

Gramatik - Just Jammin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxdog1B1H-Y

Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath (DJ Kyaal Reggae Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV30rNQvUCw

If you are interested in Dub, I recommend Don Imuze. For Hiphop, JkSoul or Gramatik. For Electro House, Mord Fustang or Madeon's Remixes, for Trance, Arty, Alpha 9, Mat Zo, Adam K, for Nu-Disco/Indie/Alternative-Dance I recommend Fred Falk, Classixx, Lifelike, Alan Braxe, and aeroplane.

When I'm playing any other game, I prefer any songs that are light hearted. A little indie alternative, a little island reggae, and other sub-genera's that are fun and not too serious.

Vampire Weekend - Taxi Cab
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwuS7oO3T_Q

Jamie Grace - Hold Me (featuring Toby Mac)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISgr8SgCYbY

The islands - switched on
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPUouMg2Eb8

Kings Of Convenience - Misread
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOxE7IRizjI

Arctic Monkeys - Baby I'm Yours
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0jR8adohcY

Givers - Up Up Up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_HBZ4M9K6A&ob=av2n

Alo - plastic bubble
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju4tL3pG_M4

Little Joy - next time around
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGHbOZBSv18

Oh like I said I'll listen to anything(including dance and whatnot) I just listen to dance less than the others(not much of a selection around here(only CD purchasing place being Wal-Mart =\)

Yeah .... disregard that. I was listening to the top youtube searches for "Napalm Death".
(What sub-genre are they, anyway? black? death?)
I don't care for what I heard, but I'd need to sample a lot more before I can judge.

Depends on the album. They've been all over the place. They've been grindcore, death metal, thrash, you name it.

And if you didn't like the song I posted, I won't bother posting any more, because that's one of their best. If you don't like that one, you probably won't like anything else.

I like the Finish Power Metal bands Sonata Arctica and Nightwish. My die-hard metal-head fiends assure me that power metal is too soft, and I sort-of agree—the lyrics are froofy  but a lot of their songs have tight melodies anyway. To see what I mean,

I just now listened to Taste the Poison. That's pretty effin' hard core. I'll check out more tomorrow. All this metal is making my head spin on such a hot day. I need to take a break and chill out for the evening.

Alright, this is kind of a difficult topic, honestly. It's hard in the first place to do something other than just list songs from my favorite bands, especially considering that the OP said that he listens to pretty much everything. He also said that metal was his least favorite and doesn't want anything that's too “in your face,” but Napalm Death is about as in your face as it gets, and he reacted very well to the ND song I posted. Further, I'm not sure what he is and isn't familiar with already. Since I'm not sure what would be appropriate to post, I'll just dump some YouTube links for him to check out if he's interested, representing my favorites from certain genres. As you can see, my tastes are very, um, varied. Good luck finding anyone else who listens to both Napalm Death and ABBA. Anyway, hope you find something you like.

Ministry - Thieves (industrial metal)

KMFDM - Juke Joint Jezebel (industrial)

Johnny Cash - Cocaine Blues (country)

Faith No More - Midlife Crisis (alternative rock?)

Kylie Minogue - Love At First Sight (pop)

ZZ Top - Tush (classic rock)

Joe Cocker - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (blues rock?)

Placebo - This Picture (pop rock)

Dir en grey - Vinushka (J-Rock)

Frederic Chopin - Nocturne in C-sharp Minor (classical)

Traci Lords - Control (techno)

The Prodigy - Breathe (electronic dance)

Slayer - Raining Blood (thrash/speed/death metal)

Silverchair - Spawn Again (alternative rock)

Beastie Boys - Pass the Mic (rap)

Geto Boys - Still (rap)

Fear Factory - Martyr (death/industrial metal)

Stevie Wonder - Higher Ground (soul/pop/funk)

ABBA - Dancing Queen (disco)
