Thanks. I have a few tips for writing scripts:

 Use astericks instead of italics inside of parantheses. They make the actions stand out more.
 Be brief yet descriptive when describing the actions. If on a website with emoticons, use them for describing expression. It also helps if you DON'T use complete sentences, especially if posting on sites that don't allow posts more than so-and-so characters long. Here's an example:

BOY: * 8) * Hi Girl.
GIRL: *faints, landing in trash can*
BOY: Are you okay?
GIRL: * *

 Think of what happens before you type it out. This helps reduce the odds of getting writer's block, allowing you to finish your project faster.

Those are all the tips I have to offer right now for plays.

I like the website Mich! Specially like waving the mouse around and watching the date swirl around trying to keep up - I think I could do that for a very, very long time!

Thanks. I like that feature too. Sometimes I stay on the home page and stare at it or play with it a little. It's nice to have a "cursor toy" (as I like to call it) on a website.

I used to write poetry, too. I loved to write. I even got my degree in English with a concentration in writing. But with 5 kids, it's been a long time since I wrote anything even approaching creative, other than a few interesting posts on message boards over the years. Well, our oldest is out on her own now, and our youngest is 6, so maybe I'll find time to let my creative energies express themselves in words once again.

I love writing! As somebody who has trouble verbally, writing is my way of expressing myself. I have to type though, because my handwriting is horrible. I recently joined writing.com to post some of my writing and I try to write more online here.

I enjoy writing Fanfiction. Does that count? :D Anyway, I enjoy writing. I had to write a few plays in High School. I hate writing essays unless it's about something I'm actually intrested in. So yes, I enjoy writing (for the most part)

I'm also thinking about writing a story version of a comic I made last year(?) in the Writing and Poetry module. Here's what it's about:

Warshie (10) and Iggy (14) are on a TV show called Do It Yourself (which is kind of hard to explain). During the filming of the new theme song, they get hurt. The owner of the studio, Gracie Ferrete (29-ish), is kind of sad and also kind of angry in a why'd-you-do-that way, so she cancels Do It Yourself and, after Warshie and Iggy are back to normal (which takes about a month or so), she casts them on a show that is a 30-minute spoof of the My Little Pony commercials.

Soon after, they get lousy reputations and end up on the covers of magazines like National Insulter and Clown Quarterly, which they are not proud of. They're also tired of getting filmed in ridiculus pony suits in the morning. So Warshie convinces Iggy to let him trade one of his paintings for Do It Youself (and its timeslot, which was taken by the pony show). It doesn't work and Iggy just loses his (unfortunately worthless) painting.

So they come up with a plan. They replace the pony tape with a homemade version of Do It Yourself (with imitations of the props and costumes and stuff). They film it themselves and then Warshie secretly switches it with the actual tape. It's a success, but Gracie finds out about the tapes and fires them both.

What do you think? I know it's kind of crazy, but that's me. Oh, and by the way, in case you were wondering about the names, Warshie was inspired by Pap (who says "warsh" all the time). Iggy was from an old obsession with the name Iggy (which I was going through at the time). Gracie Ferrete came from my ferret, Gracie. Oh, and I forget when I made the comic, but I think I either did it in late 2003 or in early 2004, so I made it less than a year ago.

Tell me what you think. Should it go in Writing and Poetry, or stay in my (homemade) comic book (which is over at Pap's house to boot)? YOU decide whether you'd like to see it on here or not.

I didn't realize I could write until started getting good feedback on my "Roswell" fan-fiction. I cannot seem to finish anything however.

I don't really like writing as of now, but I've written for a lot of goth and science fiction 'zines back in the day. It's pretty good money if you have nothing else to do.
