I've drawn my whole life, and am a perfectionist about things. Sometimes it keeps me from even starting a project. But as a result of it I've developed some pretty keen illustrative skills.

Right now I'm working on breaking myself of the perfectionist habit, and developing the self-discipline to just create art because I've decided to, not waiting until I'm sure that I can do an immaculate job.

I'm the same way, I tend to be a perfectionist too. I actually enjoy writing a lot but I find myself proofreading over what I type too often. I'm working on breaking the habit too by just typing what comes to mind mostly.
