Here's a parody I did of a famous Beatles song. I wrote the title pun and second verse more than twenty years ago and only came up with the first and third verses earlier this year. Then I figured out the lead guitar part to complete this song. My parody lyrics sound very close to the original Beatles lyrics, but with a twist!
Gilbert K. Chesterton once said "The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." I decided to try to remedy this unfortunate situation. My parody lyrics are about a woman at a buffet who likes the cheese. The title pun is a spoonerism of the original song title (where the first letters of two words are switched), so from Day Tripper I got Tray Dipper and the rest followed.
