Are you talking to me? If you are, then what entitled thing are you talking about?

He means you're entitled to your opinion. Which means you are free to think in how you choose to think.

I know what he meant by his statement, but what is the "it" that he is talking about?

The large eyes thing largely came about as a result of the group of manga artists, CLAMP. From the 70s and 80s, while eyes might have been a tad bigger, they were mostly pretty proportionate. An example is my favorite anime, Patlabor.

That's from the second movie iirc, which imo, was drawn a bit more realistically, but still.

Gundam 0080 and Macross there, Macross I guess has slightly bigger eyes, but not extreme. As I said, the big eyes thing came mostly in the 90s from CLAMP.

As far as anime girls being beautiful, I think it's because the noses are better. For real. I notice most Western drawings tend to want realistic noses, and realistic noses look stupid in 2D. So Japanese artists just minimized noses. That's what I've determined, anyway, back when I was big into anime and trying to draw it. The eyes are something, too, obviously anime eyes tend to be bigger, which is almost universally considered more attractive. So small nose, big eyes, recipe for beauty.

I do like anime drawing, though. It's good, basically I feel anime drawing does best by doing a weird mix of making things realistic when it looks good, and not realistic when it doesn't. So it's minimalist in some ways.

Lastly, you can see some Japanese ideas of beauty in the old traditional art, and their ideas of traditional beauty. So much of it is obviously cultural and psychological.

I think that they added small noses because Japanese people have small noses. So just because you don't see people in your every day life or in the western media with that feature where you live does not mean that it is a completely unrealisc feature that no one or vary few in the world has.

It might be vary rare where you live, but it isn't like that everywhere else in the world. So the small nose is a realistic feature that is common among Japanese people. So no, you are partly wrong about the reason why Japanese artists draw their characters with small noses like that.

Thanks for the history lesson anyway, Knives. I did not know about CLAMP. In their list of works over at The Site That Shall Not Be Mentioned, I only know Card Captor Sakura, and I know Code Geass by name (which apparently members of CLAMP have collaborated on).

Yeah, the small nose (pointing upward) is something I recognised as an East Asian feature in the back of my head. My grandmother calls it 'idong pesek' in the Malay language.

Well I really get it. On the first post of this thread, I listed all of the features that make me attracted to anime girls.

Examples of anime girls that I am attracted to are:
• Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service
• Nausicaa from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
• Haruhi from Melencoly of Haruhi Suzumiya
• Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart

All of the girls listed above have all or most of the features listed on the first post. Plus, there are real life girls that have these
and they aren't rare everywhere in the world or even every where in the country. So just because it is rare where you live does not mean thar it is rare everywhere else.

So I am attracted to real normal humans, I just have obscure tastes. So ya, I've already answered this question on the first post.

Anime chicks? I can't help but to love them. it's mostly becuase their so much more interesting then "real humans".
But, anyway, I can't help it, I'm attracted to the more unusaul kinds, like ones with bat wings or angel wings.
Or mermaids, I love mermaids!.
anything thats not entirely "human" beucase I find humans to be quite boreing. (mostly)
then there's the kind that are half human half machine, (cyborgs) among others...
anyway, in short,
Humans, too simple.
Anime chicks, more interesting.
Mermaids, AWSOME!
Deadpool, best super hero evarrr.

No, I am talking about beauty not hotness. They are two different things. I mean, a girl would have really big boobs, but I wouldn't really have a crush on her or anything unless she had a pretty face. Plus, I have all ready answered this on the first post.
