I have always had a strange interaction with album covers, in that the overall colour of the album cover affects how I feel about the sound of the music. Black and white covers always make me find the music to be stark and thin, yellow and red makes the music seem lush. I probably haven't explained it very well.
I understand this. This happens to me sometimes. I have synesthetic connections and associative connections, ie, I have certain associations that spring up, aside from synesthesia. Sometimes it's album covers. For one example, I only have colour/key associations with G major/E minor and E major/C# minor. These keys are blue/grey and red. I do, however, get really strong colour associations with green; it is, however, unrelated to key, but one thing that I have found is that green songs have titles that begin with the letter D, which is green to me, so the first letter of the title paints the song a certain colour. This happens with J as well (yellow/orange)... unless it is in my synesthetic color associative keys, which will overpower the grapheme synesthesia.
This probably sounds like a lot of random rambling. :/ I should probably slumber now.
