I have always have. My younger son does it too.
I will sometimes listen to the same Philip Glass song over and over and over, and I find that whole idea funny because of the repetition and it is Philip Glass. I don't find the activity funny. I find the idea funny, and I really like Philip Glass.

Yep. I listen to him all day. In the car, at work, while walking the dog, while working at our home gym, I hear it when the zumba instructor plays it.

Music is a big part of my self-management routines.

Bedtime: I start looping one of a few Steve Halpern albums that I like. It seems to iron-out my brain waves a bit, and I leave it playing softly throughout the night.

Wake-Up: Each weekday morning I am awakened by a rousingly heroic rendering of Rule Britannia taken from a last night of the Proms performance. It loops until I am awake enough to turn it off.

Throughout the day: Pandora stations to suit my mood. Usually this is a relaxation station of new age, but sometimes very light classics (no percussion) or vintage pop.

Oh yea, all the time.
I like listening to my favourite song at the time and replaying it until I get sick of it :P

There are some songs I could play on loop every day and not get tired of them!

I do that whenever I get a new song, as I'm very selective about the songs I buy from iTunes. I play it continuously for several days. The current one is "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons.

I've listened to the exact same song on loop for over a week, literally from the moment I got up to the moment I went to sleep. And no, I haven't gotten tired of said song, I still listen to it.

I do this quite often-
hooray for "replay button" on YT,
and for the "replay one track" button in iTunes ! :)

I play non-vocal (mostly instrumental) electronic songs, the same snippet of it
(may only be 30 seconds long) over & over, so much so that I still hear it in my head
when it stops playing-but I like that aftereffect, then I can keep playing it constantly in my mind
until I get back home & can listen to it again.

Repetition is very soothing & comforting, when it's stimuli that I've chosen to repeatedly apply to myself.

I do!

The funny part is that I mostly love progressive rock, classical and jazz music; but when I hook up on a song it is, most of the time, a totally poppy, childish and cheesy thing that I wouldn't dare sharing with anyone :? heh!

Yesterday I made a 5 hour session with a single song. I feel like it is my duty. I feel in the same way when playing video games. Until I lose my desire, I play again and again. After some time, I quit and find another obsessive music/video game from somewhere. Weird.
