I'm a Jamaican music devotee however there is a cut off point for me, I like my styles truly 'roots' and don't listen to much from after about 1973. the exception being a bit of a thing for the On-U-Sound stable circa late '80's through to mid '90's.
So, no videos for my picks but I would encourage anyone to check out original Ska produced by Justin Yap, Rocksteady produced by Bunny 'striker' Lee [in particular Pat Kelly's 'dark end of the street' well tuff] and the often ignored and even derided classics from the 'skinhead' or 'boss' reggae era [1968-1971], there is a lot more to it than King Horror's shlock, Monkey Spanner and the Liquidator. and for those who want the real original JA styles Mento, Mento, Mento!
Yeah crusty old bugger - I know
peace j
