My favorite band has always been Blind-Guardian, although my favorite songs from them, which contains my favorite song ever, Skalds and Shadows, are always acoustic.

I still appreciate other power metal bands that I grew up with though. Elvenking, Dragonforce, Virgin Steele, Manowar... They're all pretty special to me, but Blind-Guardian has always been unique.

You were probably singing an octave lower than the original. Bruce has a phenomenal high range extension up to at least the D above tenor C. Us mortals have little chance of coming close unfortunately.
