If you don't know about this song, It was written by Charles Manson, and Dennis Wilson never bothered to pay him. You know what happened to Dennis Wilson. It's a great song though. Manson was a great talent and would have had a lucrative music career if he'd chosen to go in that direction instead of murdering a bunch of people. There are two albums that I am aware of. One was recorded with his cult as backup singers, and the other in prison.

And I love it!! !! !! !! !! !!

Love it also. It is also sarcastic referencing the Yuppie (Young Upwardly Mobile Professionals) phenomenon and cold war nuclear war fears of that era. The newly rich types profiled in the first "Wall Street" movie wore dark shades and the light from a nuclear blast is so bright it blinds people.

Blues Brothers 2000 was a terrible movie with an excellent soundtrack.

When I was a kid , my dad told me that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlNhD0oS5pk could be written by anyone. I swore to myself that when I became his age, I'd be cool and like modern music. Nope! Today's music sucks! I could write that!

I like the whole late 1960's to mid 1970's "Bubblegum Rock" genre because it had a good beat and you could dance to it. So what if it was dorky as hell designed to sell to the dumbest pre teens.

The most popular bubblegum song of all time and the number 1 Billboard single of 1969 the year of Woodstock

The hilarious "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" from The Monty Python Show. Actually I'm not ashamed... I sing it as I drive my car through annoying rush hour traffic and it cheers me up.

And also gotta love this:

At least its not Journey or Poison 8)

Yeah, there's no reason to be ashamed of the music you like. I was when I was a kid, but that was just insecurity.
Thanks for posting the Dokken video. I haven't heard that in ages. Awesome song. I don't like Poison either, but I'd like to have C.C.'s guitar collection.

Have you heard this one? It's one of my favorites from the genre.
