It annoys me because you keep hearing "Yeah! ... Uh-huh... Yeah!... Take it to the bridge!"

Take out the vocals and everything else you ave a pretty good beat

used in for oxegene 1976

Most modern bands these days. There are some (not many) exceptions of decent music. I tend to escape to the 80s, and 90s. Even right now, as I post this, I'm listening to The Prodigy.

All reggaeton, and all Daddy Yankee songs, of course. "Gasolina" really sucks.

"SexyBack" by Justin Timberlake just cus it probably is the terrible future of music

im sorry for the generalization but all that mass produced, radio style rnb, rap and techno relay annoys me

I quit my job at HMV in 2002. Since then I have been blissfully ignorant of what's popular or on the radio.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.....sweet.

ABBA are quite painful.

I dont like breakbeats either. ( Although i do like trancey techno.)

edit: I like the early prodigy stuff, "What evil lurks.."; but then they started using breakbeats.

I could name so many songs and music styles I hate, but let's make this more interesting. Here's a song that I think is awful and atrocious and racist and for some reason I can't stop listening to it...Switzerland's entry into Eurovision 2007, DJ Bobo's "Vampires Are Alive":

Awesomely bad, isn't it? XD

Anything by Shakira (her screeching in 'Hips Don't Lie' - I can't change the station fast enough)
and
Celine Dion. The way she pronounes 'love' as 'leerrve' drives me bonkers

Worst song of all time: Manchester Park ("I left my cake out in the rain...")

"Married with children" by Oasis

or "The drugs don't work" by The Verve.

Just the sort of indie crap that drunks love singing along to.

Yeah, she's tone-deaf. Whats worse is they take a great oldskool beat in that song with Wycleff and completely defile it.

Yeah, she's tone-deaf.

So it's not just me. Why does it get so much airplay? Doesn't it make everybody want to stick their fingers in their ears?

Shakira gets airplay because people think she's hot because of her bellydancing.

Bellydancing is hot, but attractive dancing does not always mean good music. In fact, whenever an artist relies too much on visuals, you can bet the music itself is crap. (Pussycat Dolls, anyone?)

Oh, that reminds me. "Girlfriend" (I think it's called that) by the Pussycat Dolls is annoying and overplayed.
