Alot of old krautrock bands either use mutated versions of 4/4 or really strange time sigs. Unfortunately, I don't know any specific examples.

I know that on TMV's new album, alot of the songs had changing time sigs.

And Captain Beefheart's works usually have time sigs that no one else would bother playing in. "Frownland" is a good example.

A lot of Radiohead isn't in 4/4, especially recently :)

I generally distrust Wikipedia as a source, but I see no reason why this article would be the victim of constant vandalism and the such

Rush-Free Will....6/4, 8/4, AND 7/4. of course it changes during the song...
Rush-Tom Sawyer- 13/16
..I looked those up,so i'm not sure if they are correct. but Rush defiantly uses some odd time...

I am unsure of the mission impossible theme though.

The original MI theme was in 5/4. The movie theme was bastardized into 4/4.

That's probably cause Limp Bizkit didn't want to take the time to figure out 5/4

The one that always sticks out for me is Tool's song Schism, which alternates between 5/8, 7/8, 6/8, and 2/4 at various points in the song. Lots of fun to play that one on bass.

If no one's posted this one yet, then perhaps I've misunderstood the criteria (I listen to lots of music, but don't know the technical/analytical details behind it):
Beastie Boys: "In 3's", from "Check Your Head".

"The Debt Collector" by Blur

Out of this year's Eurovision entries, 3 out of 44 are NOT in 4/4. (FYR Macedonia, Latvia and Malta).

I'd seen the animated movie " SWEPT AWAY " , with Jackman/Winslet's voices , and a joke revolved around using a (new) recording of it . I'd somehow have thought that it would not have been .

I love the song. I'm nineteen. I listen to a lot of stuff from 'before my time' though. I haven't heard the new recording (haven't seen 'Swept Away'). It was sampled on a track by an artist called Akon but I dislike that artist.

Kashmir by Led Zeppelin = 12/4 :)

close.

the song is polymetric. the guitar, bass, and orchestra play in 3/4 and the drums play in 4/4. they happen to meet up after 12 bars...but the actual parts are written otherwise....which is why the guitar swings a little (it's in 3) and the drums are straight(in 4).

edit: actually i think the strings(guitar bass and orchestra) are in 6/8 while the drums are 4/4...the subdivision makes me think 6.

Sit Down. Stand Up. by Radiohead. I remember reading that both parts of the song aren't in 4/4 although I don't know what the Time Signature for the first section was, but the second section with the marimba is in 10/8, although that isn't really surprising, RH do experiment with time signatures and mid song changng of them frequently. Pyramid Song by RH also has a different Time Signatue although some say its just 4/4 played oddly.

Venetian snares is a big fan of 7/4 timsigs. His song 'mercy funk' undergoes many time signature changes. Starts in 11/4, then to 5/4 and 13/8 then back to 5/4 then some 23/8 and a 19/8, then 13/8, then 7/4, then 15/8 then finally 7/4
