I am a fan of EXO, BigBang, Shinee; all of them are boy bands and I mainly listen to their songs so I know little about other K-pop music. I wish someone like you could post some other good songs here from time to time..=)

^ Sure. Korean music has a lot of diversity if you know where to look. As for K-pop, I only got into it a couple of years ago, when I saw this video on Facebook (I'm a big fan of hip-hop dance choreography):



There's an interesting (and rather large) Internet subculture of K-pop fans from around the world. I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan; I just like different types of music from across the world, including K-pop now. But from there I did start getting into Korean TV, culture, food and eventually the language, too. Apparently K-pop is doing quite a lot for promoting South Korean tourism and the country's global reputation. Good for you guys.
