Does present day pop music send you into sensory overload?

It can if its extremely loud or I'm already stressed but I usually just find it boring or annoying. I find metal and other heavy music calming if its good. My tastes alternate between calm and atmospheric and very extreme.

Sensory overload is a bit of an exaggeration in my case. I don't feel overwhelmed when listening to modern music but I don't really like it either. Most of the time I tolerate it unless it gets overly busy sounding, has bad words in it, or if the bass (the frequency, not the instrument) is cranked up. I CANNOT STAND that kind of low frequency. However if I have my trusty MP3 player with me then I just get that out hehe.
