Besides obvious choices like "Baby Shark" my worst would be "Butterfly Kisses".

Its twice as long as it needs to be (clocking in five and half minutes its longer than the 3.5 minute length of the average pop song - and it used to be a fav for father-daughter dances at weddings- which get old at about 2.5 minutes).

And it beats you over the head ordering your to feel emotions instead of being understanding and causing you to feel emotions.

Empire State of Mind! I hate that song. Why were there multiple versions? :x

Rhianna's song 'Work'. By far the laziest lyrics I've ever seen. Did Rhianna even want to sing this song?

Quote:
Work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He see me do mi dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt
So me put in work, work, work, work, work, work
When you ah gon' learn, learn, learn, learn, learn?

What does this even mean? How did this song win awards?!? Who allowed this? He see me do mi dirt? What?

---

'Girls Want Girls' by Drake.

Why does this song exist? No, seriously.

Quote:
Yeah, say that you a lesbian, girl, me too

Thanks I hate it.

She's been seen doing something illicit, this illicit activity also pays her bills. The witness sounds like they've been taught a lesson.

I like Rihanna but I do not like that song. I first heard it when I was having my nails done in a salon and I found the song cringy.

Does anyone else get embarrassed by a certain song?

Oh and I like Baby Shark by the way.

I don't like this silly song:

It's just so pointless that it makes me laugh.

This, this, THIS!! !!

The lyrics are all right but the music in between really makes me want to scream! It reminds me of when I play a song on my piano keyboard but can only play the chorus and can't think of what else to play in between so I just use the background rhythm to fill the gaps, and it usually sounds a bit like this.

I don’t like songs where half or more of the lyrics are curses.

As much as I enjoy slam riffs I find the fixation on misogyny typical of slam and some adjacent death metal subgenres keeps me from enjoying those sorts of bands more.

I'll give that one a listen.

Besides the handful of songs they've written that I enjoy I also appreciate how that stuff ultimately spawned Eurobeat.

Definitely. She tends to have a fairly 'hard' persona, no?

Rap and hip hop, Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" it sounds like she's in agony.
People who do that wailing and screeching.

Teach your parrot to say the words "s**t", and "f**k", and "n****r". And then record your parrot reciting those words over a drum track, and...your parrot will be the next rap sensation!

I can't think of any songs with half or more swearing?
Or really any swearing?

Not on top 40 today, but with hard core rap (and deep cuts on albums that werent hits) in the Nineties it was common.

Along with lyrics like "me and my cous' were crusin the streets lookin for a freaky ho' to suck my dick.".
