l in the mid-70s I was in a band called
Bouree (named after a Jethro Tull song). I played bass, sang, and tried to run the lights (shock city specials I made out of industrial-sized vegetable cans from the cafeteria I worked at). Not a success...
They passed around a hat for us, which got up to about $5 at the far end of the room, and wound up about $1.10 or so by the time it made it back to us.. They didn't pay us, so we nicked the extension cord they supplied us with. Never went back again...
My first concert was (boy am I dating myself, but how else would I get lucky?...
