Ok, he's quite well-known, but the track isn't. It's from one of his most underrated albums, The Shutov Assembly.

Here's a track called Shiva Loka by Alice Coltrane I really like (a bit "world" and studenty, perhaps). Maybe it's not all that unusual, but it sounded pretty unique when I first heard it. I'd never heard anyone play the harp in a jazz style before!

Goes to show why I've got an addiction for this genre - hard to find this much creative style bending, morphing, etc. in most others.

On the ecletic tip, an artist that I'm feeling at the moment is Amon Tobin. He's pretty out there style wise.
