Anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year? I had intended to do it last year but well RL didn't permit it, may try this November. :)

I'm going to do NaNoWriMo this year. But that's a long way away. I'm currently doing JulNoWriMo, and next month it's on to AugNoWriMo.

It's not such a crazy goal. You have to do 1667 words per day to keep up. According to author Laurence Block, the normal working writer does about 5 pages a day, which is about 1430 words a day, and some writers do double that.

Of course, it is crazy to expect ME to keep up with that pace..... :)

I've found doing WriMos is helpful to encourage me in good working habits as a writer, but I'm sure there are writers who would not find it helpful.
