Ever feel emotionally stirred by common noises?
I don't know if this is an aspie thing or just a side effect of living in a noisy world but I think what you guys are describing is tendinitis..."ringing in the ears".
I only notice it in silence but it can be very annoying while trying to sleep(even with a white noise machine and fan running). Mine is a ringing and a high pitched
"whine". I think it proceeds hearing lose but that can take years. Mine is probably caused from damage I did while listening to loud music. I used to drink and go to punk rock shows and stand directly in front of the speakers..(hey there was an open space there...imagine that). Drinking, evidently stops the normal closing of the ear canal that would help protect them...my bad

"Take a walk in the park,
Does the wind in the dark
Sound like music to you?
Well I'm thinking it does to me."
-Jethro Tull
Most nature sounds are emotionally inducing for me in a positive way- streams, wind, trees rustling, birds, ect.
Most mechanical sounds, or noises caused by humans, make me feel anxious or stressed.
I think a lot of people experience this.
Though I am not releasing this program, because I lost the source coding when my hard drive failed ;(
thanks for the idea
i am far from being able to make a program like that, i recorded a scale and ive got it going of repeat, its not too distracting, kinda relaxing and kinda helpful (im still trying to train my ear)
though i still really want that program
Well, it's not so much a common noise. For all I know I could be imagining it.
That sounds like tinnitus:
