I love this song. The lyrics are beautiful and ambiguous (was the boy his friend or his lover?). The rhythm of the notes is complex; his picking pattern creates a polyrhythm over the chords and his vocal phrasing creates yet another. The song is in 2/4 (or 4/4), but he's picking triplets. His thumb is hitting the root note in half-note triplets in each measure. The choruses aren't the same, they build up with each repetition. It grows and grows as the song progresses.

Of course, on youtube, it doesn't sound as good as it does on the CD.

I've got to add a cheesy dance music song too. I've always had a soft spot for this music, for some inexplicable reason...
