This is not my site but I find the artwork 'mildly interesting' because it is metaphysical and well executed (like someone once said I should be!).

I've also got a friend (no jokes on the lines of 'only?' - does that mean you've 'only' got the one?), Fiona Kearney, who is also working in the surreal tghung (the first 'G' is silent, the second one is exclaimed when you see her artwork!). I know she is with Tiscali but last I heard she was piggybacking on someone elses sight, so if you can get to her stuff that would be amazing!

Wow sophist, good work. I really like the shading on the third portrait. Is that anyone famous? It look kinda like Walt Whitman.

I ought post some of my work, huh? I don't have any scans cos my scanner sucks, but I'll try to get something posted when I'm back from my trip.

Yeah, it does kinda look like Walt Whitman, but it's actually Degas when he was old. :)

Cade, if you have a digital camera, that can work just as well (that's what I use since I've yet to figure out the scanner, lol).

I'd love to see some of your work.

I did another two last night but the first one wasn't looking so hot via digital camera. Oh well. Strike what I said about digital cameras working just fine. :?

Cool drawing Sophist. That would make an awesome watercolor. LOL :P (Just teasing you - but honestly it would!)

Well, until I can get a digital camera, I'll post this. It's called "Fossil." This is an older picture I did on computer. Some of the cool detail got lost in the conversion into a jpeg file, but you get the idea (the orginial has fine variations in the color that makes it look like it has a sandy or grainy texture like stone). The orginial pdd file got corrupted, so one day I hope to recreate it on canvas from the prints I have. It's one of my favorites of my computer work.

These aren't nearly as good as the others shown on here, which were fantastic, but here are some of mine:

OK, I admit the first one's a bit disconcerting, but suspect that was the effect you were going for. The second is very cool. It's rahter evocative, adn the your use of color is very nice.

Yes, I very much like that second one, midge, and the first one is creepy. :D

I'm working on yet another Degas pic in conte pencil. Maybe the camera will like this one a bit more than it did my Kahlo and Rivera piece and I'll get to post it. Ah well.
