It seems like to me that most critics are people that simply don't have the ability to produce what they are critizing. I guess its lashing out due tio jelousy.

Thankyou.
I felt it was important to verbalize what I went through, and art is a wonderful way to express yourself.

As someone who has written a lot of poetry I admit it is pleasant to have people tell me that what I write is good. Some of my poetry rhymes and some does not. But telling me that my poetry is pleasing does not help me in what I am trying to do. I need people to tell me where my poetry does not work and why. That way I can learn to be a better poet. Whether it rhymes or not is irrelevant. What makes poetry noteworthy is not a mere expression of emotion. It is an art that lives on new and incisive ways to use words to give new experiences. Merely telling people I am unhappy or happy or angry or surprised is not enough. It makes people look again at ordinary things and experiences and reveals how extraordinary every object, every experience can be and reveals that life is a strange and wonderful experience. This is not easy to do and sometimes a poem works and very frequently it does not. It is very important to discover how this happens and why. Frequently the most nasty comments are the most helpful.

art is great, no matter what it is, theatre, music or other performing arts, writing, drawing, photography, or the other visual arts.

......mebby my name should have been artislife, rather than musicislife.... :D

I hate my life , hate where I've been.
My life is ragged, torn to the skin.

My hope is broken , my dreams do fade.
He hides in shadows , behind the shade.

I cannot seem to lift the vail.
Will I ever, does no one care?

Everytime the terror comes.
Penetration and then I'm numb.

I sit sad crying in my room.
No ones there but my memory.

Is it real I need to know!
Make him leave make him go!

I hate this man inside my head.
As night comes I feel the dread.

God plaese save me from this hell
Let me know so I can tell..............

goodness me i worked it out. it about abuse and it is very sad.

Yes it is about abuse. I didn't think anyone would figure it out.

Ive been having flash backs and wrote a poem about it.

I am so, so sorry to read that this was, indeed, inspired by your life experiences. Flashbacks are f*cking horrible (voice of experience here).
