Jazz and country make me ill, also anything from Eric Clapton and Seline Dion and Scorpions.
Also, I like violin, but I am bored stiff by piano.

1.Dubstep. It's just unhearable.
2.Mainstream music in general. Sometimes it has some nice songs but it's mostly crap.
3.Έντεχνο. Fortunately, this genre is not widely known outside Greece. It's basically rock ballads that are supposed to be superior music.
4.Pop Punk. A very humiliating version of punk.
5.Metalcore. Supposed to be hardcore music. In fact, it's just a camouflage.

I hate almost all current rap, but some of the old stuff from the 80s I kind of like, but even that I only want to listen to so much of it. I like Rage Against the Machine because they're heavy metal-based rap rather than that annoying synthesizer crap that I hate.

I hate most of today's current pop music, such as rap/hip-hop, contemporary danceclub music, and don't even get me started on that annoying repetative synthesizer crap that all sounds the same!

I also hate almost all country music as well. Some country rock I sort of like, songs like Lynyrd Skynrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and bands like Blue Rodeo, but I hate stuff that's just flat out country: It's boring, it all sounds the same, and I can't stand that annoying twangyness that it has. It makes me feel like I'm on some dirty, smelly old farm in the middle of nowhere with some filthy redneck hillbillies whose idea of fun is so damn boring. Fortunately, though, I live in the suburbs so I'm not subjected to that music as much as I am to rap and synthesizer pop.

The synthesizer stuff they had in the 80s was good because they had different sounds rather than just the same annoying crap all the time. You might as well turn on your bug zapper in a marshy area and have some annoying conceited chick who can't sing singing annoying tunes with annoying conceited lyrics, as well as an annoying conceited rapper for backup, and that would sound the same as listening to today's pop music. It's just all too generic sounding.

International music can be pretty good sometimes, but I can only take so much of it. For example, I like Bob Marley, but listening to my brother's 2-disc greatest hits set just gets on my nerves because it all sounds the same.

There's also this CD that my dad found last week, lying in the parking lot at the school that he works at (hmm...I wonder why someone would just throw a perfectly good CD out like that). Anyway, It was a CD of all this Indian danceclub music that all sounds the same, and he was listening to it in the car a few days ago. I was glad once I'd finally listened to the whole thing because I could now brag to people that I survived listening to the worst CD ever made.

I also hate Celine Dion, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Anne Murray, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Phoenix, Live, Nine Inch Nails, and Ke$ha.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention: I like a lot of hardcore stuff such as punk and heavy metal, but I hate that type of heavy metal where it's just someone roaring these words that you can't understand. Like that's not even music.

I like a lot of metal, but a lot of it's crap.

I can enjoy some country from time to time, but a lot of it's crap.

There's some listenable rap out there, but most of it's crap.

These days there are a lot of warbling girls who all look alike, and most of it's crap.

There are a lot of sensitive young people singing about relationships, and most of it's crap.

A little Wagner, some Fatboy Slim and some Weird Al and I'm happy.

I don't know those other 2, But I love Weird Al. Anyone who says he's not a true musician just because he's a comedy musician, that's total BS, people! He's both talented with lyrics and various parodies, genres, polka medleys, and he does just as much of original songs as he does parodies, even though everyone thinks he just does parodies.

Why Siouxsie and the Banshees? They are fine.

Funky sort of music. Like that song "Superstition", not sure whose it is, and frankly I don't care
Some progressive metal and rock has melodies that I don't like, usually played on some old-school sounding synth sound.

Other than that, I'm fine with pretty much anything. Which is a bit embarassing too, since I like some real poppy stuff as well.

Certain forms of pop, country, all forms and varients of metal, punk, emo, rap, a few parts of rock.

What's popular now, essentially.

modren pop music, most rap music, most metalcore, deathcore and any other genre with the word core in it especially crunkcore which I consider to be pure vomit. country depresses for the most part so I dislike most of it.

Metal, Psychedelic Rock and Hard Rock are by far my favorite forms of music.

I enjoy all genres!... except for modern pop.

I mean, even in the 80's pop was good, like Michael Jackson's Thriller. But what happened? Popular music these days is, pretty much, crap... and un-musical. The "art"ists don't give a toss about art, it's all about money and business.
I mean, money and business is a definite factor in music - how else could you make a living off of it? But people have turned music into something where it's the only factor in music. Generic, mass-produced...

The sad thing is that the general public listening audience doesn't even care, and that might just be the problem. I'd like to use Lady Gaga as a reference here - she knows the deal:

She has actual talent, which is clearly evident there- classical-based improvisation, singing while playing such, and not an ounce of autotune, but you won't see this in any of her popular hits, because that's not what sells music and puts food on the table.

I mean, even the topic of autotune - so many pop artists are dependent upon autotune since they lack the talent to sing correctly otherwise, and yes, nobody cares, people still buy it. Case in point.

But... I'm talking about popular music here. There's good music out there today, I'm not going to say there's no good music anymore. I have quite a few favorite bands that are pretty modern, but they're not popular these days, like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were popular in their heyday.

Sorry for the rant... I've got to stop doing that >.>
