Just had to post something. DA links won't work, right? Btw, my DA link is: http://mishkahappy.deviantart.com/
There is some more fresher drawings, this one is a colored pencil sketch for the time I got my first "real" colored pencils. I haven't been drawing for over five years and I miss it intesivily, but I am somehow unable to start again.

"Image hosted by angel fire" I like the concept but I think an actual picture would be better. :P

But the pictures on the DA link are great.

an idea i had about a psychedelic rendition of color and pattern. i developed this further but it got a bit "busy" and so i think this is better than the development because of it's simplicity.

edit:damn i had to edit!

this is an interesting pattern that is the result of an experiment. i will incorporate this code into the subdynamics of future patterns i think of. i am not very versatile.

Yep, that's right. I used colored pencils.
Thank you very much. :)
Then again, I don't get my coloring right with anything other than colored pencils, though I generally don't try to draw real-life things, as well.
I don't control what I draw, I just draw.

Thanks. I appreciate that. :D

This is my DA-Gallery. If you'll browse through it, you'll see some other colored pencil drawings.

i forget whether i posted this before or not. if i did, then here it is again for new viewers.
this is a "real time" recreation i made of a shuttle launch into orbit.
it was difficult to do. the initial resolution is atrocious, but as the shuttle climbs higher, then it all falls together into an adequate rendition.

Started vectorizing the head.
Changed her expression to match her character too.

Looks incredibly sweet. :)
What kind of program did you use to vectorize the head?

Thank you. :D
I did the sketch in Photoshop using a tablet, then switched to the pen tool to make the vectors over that.

-edit-

Added some more.

I drew up this screen-grid vacuum tube in AutoCAD a while back. I'd like to get back into that sometime; I have a lot of unfinished projects from years ago.

Cool video.

Do I recognise parts of 'Little Sunflower' by Freddie Hubbard in the music there?

^ Very neat! I don't know exactly what it's supposed to be, but it reminds me of the Death Star from Star Wars.

yes you do. i heard it on the radio in my car many years ago, and i liked it so i remembered the notes.
you identified the song (and my video has not yet 30 views), and therefore so could many other people identify it.
considering this, i removed the clip from youtube because i do not want to infringe copyrights. someone must "own" the structure, and if it is "sony BMG" then i could get into a lot of trouble.
