It's the information age!
I don't understand how anyone would choose a band name without checking to see if anyone else is using it.
For example.."the Clouds" above (pun unintended)
Or this Melbourne band "Deadstar"

I stand corrected about the clouds. What I thought was 2 bands turned out to be a slight name change. A pesky "the"
For some reason this prompted me to search "Thrash-puppy"
I found a band called "Thrash Puppies".
And where does this band happen to be from?
You have to be kidding.
Melbourne.

Now a jump up to Brisbane for a band that made an international following.
Surely everyone knows Powderfinger.

Sorry for missing this afternoon's post, but I had to drive to the big smoke for an ultrasound and vascular clinic.
Moler started out in Melbourne as Snuff.

Good morning WP,
Nancy Vandal came from Sydney.
Apart from them and Painters and Dockers there's not many punk bands that could handle a horn section.

Thanks peet, they were awesome additions.
I'll have to contact you before my next trip to visit my brother near Nyköping and find where to go out.
I've seen Hellacopters twice without realising they were Swedish.
I didn't know "Friends" was the last recording from Joey Ramone. (I've hugged Joey...one of my favourite gigs ever)
Which Astral Doors track was it? Did it have an adult content warning? That might explain why it wouldn't embed.

I can't remember why Frenzal Rhomb made my sh!tlist... Some perceived slight backstage somewhere decades ago, but since I can't remember, they're definitely TP-central material.

It was an older recording he made for them. But with his death 1-2 years before their album release they wanted to do something with it/for him. Didn't Joey have a solo album about the same time, 2003?
It must have been awesome to meet and hug Joey. I love the Ramones, unfortunate I am too young. I would have loved to see them live.

Astral Doors may not be to my taste, but I appreciate their predilection for dragons.

Good morning WP,
I can't believe I missed the Superjesus from my earlier lineup.

Hell yeah!
If you're going to do a cover it should be butchered and pwned!

I'm leaving Australia this post for two of my favourite Me First and the Gimme Gimme's songs
