I saw the movie a few years ago and was fascinated by its strangeness. My own copy at least!

Rereading A People's History of the United States: 1492 to Present by Howard Zinn.

How could a book with a title so wrong, be so right?

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2767 ... ted_States

Quote:
Known for its lively, clear prose as well as its scholarly research, A People's History of the United States is the only volume to tell America's story from the point of view of -- and in the words of -- America's women, factory workers, African-Americans, Native Americans, working poor, and immigrant laborers.

This P.S. edition features an extra 16 pages of insights into the book, including author interviews, recommended reading, and more.

Bill Cosby did a new book, called something like "Why Was I Born" and I perused through it this morning. Truly did not think much of it.

I liked Ender's Game as well!

I currently am reading "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simison and think it is incredibly funny.

Predictably Irrational
-Dan Ariely

This one is helping me to understand an awful lot of confusing things about humanity.

Three Sheets To The Wind: One Man's Quest for the Meaning of Beer - Pete Brown

Funny, interesting beer culture/travelogue 'quest' by one of my favourite beer writers. :drunken:

Reading the July/August 2013 Analog Science Fiction and Fact

I honestly think I like reading short stories better than slogging through novels.

Also trying to get through A Feast for Crows. I think there was a reason I stopped reading it a while back.

Someone loaned me a book by James Patterson. It's ridiculous plot by numbers drivel, but I'll finish it pretty quick. Stephen King for tonight. :D

Party of the People: A History of the Democrats.

The companion book that I read regarding the history of the Republicans was better than this, but both books are very... biased. For instance. Eisenhower, who most people consider a moderate Republican, is thought to be extreme in the Republican version. Nothing too bad in this book so far, except the fact it does not start in 1832, when the Democratic party came into existence.
