Nope. There’s one literally from 1960. The younger boys were about ten years old.

The Easybeats’ “Friday on my mind” put Australia on the worldwide rock and roll map.

Barry sure did look about 6" here ... 1960. This the one? :)

Yes, I love Friday on My Mind, The Easybeats .... My sister still has all the old Aussie CountDown magazines from those days.

You had cool taste, KK! I remember it playing at a fellow 5 year old friend's birthday party(I was the only one too shy to dance back then!) Thought it was the coolest song I'd heard! Still a favourite.

A song could be a hit at the time but is rarely or ever played today.

This 1969 song somewhat fits this category.

One possible reason this song is not played today is that it would be considered offensive.

This song is notable for the later careers of members of The Electric Indian such as Daryl Hall and future members of MFSB notable for their hit T.S.O.P. which helped create disco music and is constantly played on oldies stations.

Tom and Jerry (who are actually Simon and Garfunkel) had a #49 hit in 1957 with “Hey Schoolgirl.”
