I heard the new Gorillaz album yesterday at a friend's house, terrible shi*! It sounds like they're experimenting and trying to create a new sound, and it's mixed bag with results. Some of it seems Industrial, but not. It has a bit too much "hardcore" rap for my tastes. That, and it constantly reminds you that their singer can't sing. Mini-rant over.

Here's my list, starting at the bottom.

Murray Head - One Night In Bangkok
Linkin Park - Hit The Floor
John Kander and Fred Ebb - Mister Cellophane
Duran Duran - Notorious
DJ Tiesto - Dream World
Duran Duran - To Whom It May Concern

I took a look at the amazon review on that. Funny to see that Danger Mouse is in on that - a friend of mine burned me that Jay Z vs. the Beatles 'Grey Albumn' a while back.

I'll admit that the CD might be worth purchasing after downloading it and re-listening some. I just went to Amazon to see all the positive reviews. I guess I just miss the guy who did rap on their first CD. If the first didn't have Parental Advisory on it, I would have bought it. According to Amazon, a few people left the band...*sigh*...it was so awesome. Dare is a pretty good song though, and Feel Good Inc. is alright...but could be better. Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head is probably my favorite song of thier's now. I just wish their singer could sing!! !

Styx - Fooling Yourself
Gorillaz - Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head
Gorillaz - All Alone
Scissor Sisters - Laura
Led Zeppelin - All Of My Love
Delirium - Resurrection
Duran Duran - Drowning Man
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Universally Speaking
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stuck By Kiss
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Soul To Squeeze

Actually that song isn't by "Weird" Al. In fact there are many parody/funny songs wrongly associated with Weird Al... many of them quite Vulgar... in a way that "Weird" Al would never write a song.

Here is a good list of songs that are not by "Weird" Al
http://free.house.cx/~eil/etc/notal_list.html

As to what I am listening to, to keep this on topic, the theme song to the amazing Video Game Katamari Damacy... Katamari on the Rocks. Quite an awesome song for a video game, in fact most of the music in this game is really, amazingly awesome. I even recorded the music onto my computer and made my own Soundtrack CD, I liked it so much.

I'm currently listening to:
Korn- Pretty

It's my favourite song from the Follow The Leader album, my only criticism with it is the same thing I think of Nine Inch Nails- The Perfect Drug: The chorus makes the rest of the song sound boring in comparison.
