Started and abandoned Russell Baker's memoir Growing Up. When it came out a lot of people found it charming and delightful. I found it pointless and pedestrian.

Now I've begun Spencer Lane's First World Flight. It's written in a breezy style which I don't much like, and there don't seem to be any references for all the sources he's supposedly quoting. Interesting subject though.

I'm reading this book called, "We are All Completely Beside Ourselves." I can't tell you what it's about without wrecking it, and don't read any reviews or descriptions because there was a big spoiler in all of them that I read. I'm pretty sure the author was not saying anything about Autism at all, but it could be a perfect allegory for Autism. That's not really why I like it though, it's just very good book, excellent writing. I can hardly put it down.

Heads in Beds: A Reckless Memoir of Hotels, Hustles, and So-Called Hospitality by Jacob Tomsky. I have mixed feelings about the author himself and his writing style, but he understands what the hospitality industry in America is really like and it's not pretty.

Man on Fire by A.J. Quinnell, the basis for the Tony Scott/Denzel Washington thriller, as well as a 1987 European adaptation starring Scott Glenn. I should be finished with it soon, but so far, it's got to be one of the best action thriller novels that I've ever read.

Hagakure by Yamamoto Tsunetomo translated by Alexander Bennett - It's the most influential of all Japanese books on Bushido, the Samurai warrior spirit. Just started reading, so far so good.

I'm reading 'The Vicomte de Bragelonne' by Alexander Dumas - one of my favourite authors - part three in the 3 Musketeers series.
