...The Duke Of Earl ~ " Walk On With The Duke " ~ Actually , this is pretty f*****g ridiculous , it's a follow-up record (i.e. , a near soundalike) to Gene Chandler's famous " Duke Of Earl " , but with the artist credit only " The Duke Of Earl " ! !! !! !! !! !! It's clearly Chandler singing .
f*****g ridiculous , only two minutes long EXACTLY and credited as written by SIX people ! !! !! !! !! !! What DJs had to be paid off w/a cowrite here rather than a blowjob or a snort of white lady , as per usual music business practice , here ?????????? Really , was the FCC cracking down that week ????????? Feck , you feckers . (Hey , the poster considers it " Northern Soul " ! !! !!)

I presume you heard that Gene Chandler song (Though , musically , in a sense not really bad ,) f*****g Bloody Awful , isn't it ????????? I mean , what were they thinking of ?????
I don't want to put up another link now , but to rescue Chandler's name you can find , from YT , easily enough , another good - GREAT ! - 60s song by him that is not widely known , " Gonna Be Good Times " , written by Curtis Mayfield , the record and even a live version from " Shindig ! " !
" f*****g " ~ You know , aside from censoring " that " word , I wrote it with a capital F , not an f ~ and the censor small-fs it ! !! !! !! !! Maybe that is a metaphor , for being made smaller by censorship .

I was fifteen when that was released and being one of the more vertically-challenged boys in my high school class, was highly offended by it.

As for "Walk On"...I would imagine the Vee-Jay record company was desperate to get stuff out at that time after losing the Beatles to Capitol and the Four Seasons to Philips. Double whammy.
